It took right much time to assemble, but worth the time and money in our opinion. We like that it is low to the ground since our toddler moved from a crib to this bunk bed. The transition was smooth! The sitting part of the top of the slide is another selling point, as many other slides just have a steep slope off of the top bunk. That was scary to us, so we love this slide with the seat and edges so much! We have 7 in twin mattress on top bunk and there is plenty of side/guard rail above it to satisfy us for safety reasons. Although, we had plenty of play and learn sessions about not jumping on the top bunk!!!

Liz GLiz G: A friend and I assembled the Max and Lily double bunk and two triple bunks, all of which are identical in their part numbers and assembly process. The double bunk was top quality and easy to assemble, but the triples were not nearly the same quality, although the bolts and assembly were still the same. They had been out of stock so the triples I purchased are the newer version and they have clearly cut some corners in the manufacturing process. The new beds have very poor paint quality with lots of flaws, the slats are made out of plywood instead of a single piece of wood, one of the holes for the metal rods isn't straight (it was wrong on both triples and had to be hammered in), and the steel bar is cheaper with corners that are sharper than the original version. The pilot holes for the brackets holding the steel bar are in the wrong place (on both triples), so be sure to use the bottom holes, not the top holes, or else the steel bar will be too high to install the slats. The directions are easy to follow if you pay close attention to detail. However, we assembled them in a different order so that we weren't trying to lift a completed bed into the air while fitting the legs onto...

ONeal808ONeal808: First of all. This bunk actually shipped to Hawaii for $30 and that is already amazing. We have very limited choices here so we were happy to see this would ship. The UPS guy struggled a bit with the big box to get it to the garage. It is very long and heavy. Lucky for us 70 yo Grampa is in top shape and slung it on his shoulders and carried it to the back of the house. My 17 yo and I opened the box down stairs and carried pieces up and laid them out in the master according to page numbers. I am 7 months pregnant and assisted my 17 yo and we put it together pretty quick. She did most of it. Laying it out in order really helped. Definitely need two people especially the foot and headboard slats they are a bit annoying. For the mattress we used a Costco 11” mattress for the bottom. We wanted more comfort in case it needed to be a guest bed but that mattress was much to high for the top as it came up to the rails. So for the top we got a mattress in a box from Walmart that was only 6” and it worked great. Maybe we will use another for the bottom to make more space. There is a metal bar under the top bunk that knocked a few heads so we got a pool noodle and sliced it down one side...

MahneeMahnee: Easy for my 2 year old to get on and off of. The piece is not too high either (i have boys that like to jump) and we haven’t had an accident! Pretty solid and looks nice in person. The ladder did have some issues and it took FOREVER to put this together, but I’m satisfied with the purchase. (Also, so many screws! Good luck)
