Still bitten: This is the fourth brand of reusable metatarsal pads I have tried and I like these best. They stick very well and because the edges are more firm than other brands and the non-sticky side is very smooth and tapered, these don’t seem to attract as much lint from shoes or socks as other brands. They are thicker than Pedi-flex which also says it is 1/8” and I liked that. Pain relief will be a function of your condition and the placement. I do not place them in the same spot as shown in the photo. However, they are easily adjusted so that you can find the right spot for your foot. The price I paid was also lower per pad than other brands despite being even better quality.

Amazon Customer: These were very helpful, but I wish they were a little bigger as they don't quite cover the entire ball of my foot. Thinner pads would also be nice to fit better in shoes.

No name: I have a struggle to find an orthotic that has built-in metatarsal support that does not also try to correct my arches. I found a pad similar to these a few years ago and recently decided to try them again since I could not find an insert for my tennis shoes to support the metatarsal area. Normally I wear Birkenstocks and they already have built-in metatarsal support. Beware though the picture shows the incorrect placement for the pad. It should be below the metatarsals not on them. You ideally should not feel them if they’re placed correctly. Only negative is they do smell pretty bad after wearing for a while. You can wash with soap and water and let it air dry was sticky side up and they’re good to go for the next application. Can reapply several times and they do stay on with a sock. As long as you apply properly you can wear with a shoe without socks if needed. I wish they had a thinner option because sometimes one eight is still thick. Overall these have been a lifesaver especially if you like to walk barefoot.
