S1996S1996: Bought maroon red to make red velvet cupcakes. Best one yet, it’s very dark and pigmented so you only need half a teaspoon, whereas the other shade (berry red I think) you have to use half a pot

MM: Absolutely superb!!! Red velvet cake was perfect colour! With all the baking I’ve done, never used food colouring before but I got a quick lesson using this and the watered down supermarket version! Recipe called for 2ozs, this was more than enough! However in future I would always get 2 or more so I have enough for extras like frosting and red velvet truffles.
