This cord can be run over beeswax to make a waxed cord with good strength. It comes in nice, generous rolls and beautiful colors. I also bought the salmon color, because they didn’t carry marigold anymore, and I think I like it even better.

I find these waxed cords by Mandala Crafts to be very uniform in color and texture, They are easy for me to work with. This dark red one I use in braided school color bracelets. Right now 9 out of ten spools of waxed cord that I have in use are from Mandala Crafts. Most of them are used for my dreamcatchers. I'm pretty new at this and I didn't realize just how good they were until I had to use another brand of a special color - it was spliced about every 12 to 18" and the splices were hard to work in without showing because they were very large, stiff and weak. and the color wasn't uniform. I also especially like the Prime Shipping - it makes figuring the cost of the items that I make a lot easier. I will definitely order Mandala's Waxed Cord again.
