Pourrajabi: I enjoyed this book as it gave me a great overview of many belief systems and offered so many resources for a deeper dive. Put me in a great headspace of awareness for what me kids have dealt/are dealing/will deal with, and I have children ages 5-26.

Penny: Our Sunday school class at church just finished studying this book. Although I’ve missed the boat regarding much of the advice given by Ferrer and Davison due to the fact that my children are older teens and a young adult, I still found it very informative and an important read for anyone who engages with children/teens in this current culture—especially parents. And dads too. This is not just for mama bears. The authors are compassionate and sympathetic to the confusion and challenges that our children are faced with. At the same time, they are not afraid to proclaim truth, but they present it from a place of love. They are also very funny and ultimately hopeful for this next generation. They present legitimate, logical arguments, and have done a great deal of research on this topic. I highly recommend this book to anyone raising children today. It’s a great resource for parents.

Amazon Customer: An excellent book and very relevant to our culture. I bought the audiobook and was so impressed that I also bought the paperback so I could highlight and reread it. 6/5⭐️

Saree: We are living in a culture that has an extremely distorted view of sexuality and identity. We are so bombarded with different sexual ethic than the one God gives us in His Word its easy to see how our kids are confused about it all. I really appreciated this book. It did a great job of taking the lies being taught and challenging them with biblical wisdom and compassion. I know this book is aimed at Moms but if you have grandkids, I really think this book would be a beneficial read as well. And don't let the word "apologetics" in the title scare you. It's a really easy read!

Derek Elkins, Author of "Life Unworthy of Life": Christian parents, facing issues of sexuality these days, must feel like firemen faced with a billion different brush fires. Deal with one situation and another pops up, raging harder than the first. And these issues that we and our kids face daily aren’t easy black and white issues at all. They’re complicated and require a nuance that many believe is beyond their abilities. I’d dare to venture that most Christian parents feel like they’re in over their heads when it comes to dealing with the thorniest of sexuality problems facing their children and themselves today.
The main difficulty with instructing our children in how to think about the concepts of homosexuality, gender differences and sexuality in general lies with the fact that these are real people struggling with real issues and they definitely don’t need to be preached at or condemned. Since the goal of every Christian is not to be the enforcer of God’s law, but rather to be salt and light to a dark and miserable world, how do we handle issues that could easily lead a person to or force them away from hope in God forever?
Well, (after a very lengthy prologue) may I present “Mama Bear...

MrsS: I love this book. I’m on chapter 7. It is the most informative, well written, graceful, truthful while empathetic book I have found on the subject. I have been reading up on the subject (books such as trans-when ideology meets reality, also much recommended) but this had really practical and compassionate advice and ideas for how to equip and teach your kids in a way that gives them the ability to recognise and respond to the falsehoods and ideology that comes. I’ve also already learned and understood so much about gods design for the family that I wish I’d known 13 years + ago. It also had some brilliant, simple ideas for forming positive responses to and challenging the arguments for ideologies contradictory to the Bible and harmful for children. I thought this would be a relatively boring read, but I couldn’t recommend it enough

Erin Long: Our kids are living in a vastly different world than when most of us were growing up. My husband and I are trying to parent well. Our intention is to model God’s good design for marriage, relationships and sexuality to our kids. But in recent years I’ve found myself at a loss for words when my kids come home from middle and high school with stories of other kids making very different choices-choices that are contrary to God’s good design when followed. I have to counsel my children through confusion, bewilderment, fear of being canceled and heartbreak as they watch friends and classmates make one life altering decision after another.
Sometimes I don’t know what to say and I feel rather alone in all of this. Then along comes the Mama Bear Apologetics Guide to Sexuality book by Hillary Morgan Ferrer and Amy Davison and suddenly I have the words and I no longer feel so alone.
In this book Hillary and Amy detail in Part One what God’s original intent is for marriage, relationships, and sexuality, and how our worldview affects how we view sexuality and vice versa. In Part Two they discuss the new sexual education standards that either may be coming to your child’s...
