srwells: I love this mower. I have a small yard so two batteries are more than enough to mow, trim with my makita trimmer, and blow off sidewalks with my makita leaf blower.

The only thing I would improve is the foldable handle. I wish there were a quick release or something to more easily fold the handle between mowings. Currently, it is just two knobs that have to be loosened, not hard, but could be improved.

Billy W.: The four batteries that come with this lawnmower really make it worth the money. I charge two batteries the night before I mow, and then charge the other two that morning. The first two batteries get me through half my mow, and the second pair finish it off. I've never run out of charge. For reference, I own a corner suburban lot with a medium sized backyard and a large "L" shaped front yard.

The mower itself has proven very durable. It rarely chokes and stops, and only on very thick, overgrown grass. For those occasions I'll pre-cut with a weed eater (also electric). The mower handles the rest no problem. I strongly recommend.

T. Mikkelson: This is my first electric mower. Had more trouble putting on handles (ha ha) then operating mower. Manual talks about reducing noise by lowering engine rpms. I found that on low rpms the engine speeds up by itself when needed then slows down when extra power not needed. A couple of places in my back yard have deep St. Augustine so it powers up there than returns to lower rpm power where rest of lawn is normal. Batteries appear to last as long as stated, but with two sets you can't get out of mowing. Mulcher attachment just directs cuttings straight down. Basket has ribbon like piece of cloth that billows when mowing and than lies flat when basket is full. Just remember as soon as it stops billowing, empty now. If you don't mow every week and have a lot of leaves you can fill bag up real quick. Not only do batteries have a check buttong to show how much they are charged the mower itself has a buttong to show you when they are installed. System to keep from accidently starting mower is easy to use.

I own a two table saws, two chop saws, sawzall, multiple corded drills, hammer drill, grinders, shears, router and table, six battery impact guns, eight battery drills, ten(!) battery garden shears, two four-battery chargers, four two-battery chargers, and too many single battery chargers to count.

As I have so many Makita products it seemed logical to purchase a Makita mower because the continuity of battery charger styles and tech would work nicely for me. Sadly, I must admit how wrong I was.

I needed a mower to - cut grass - obviously. My old gas powered lawn mower died and because the grass was not going to stop growing I ordered one of these mowers.

(PART 1) The grass was getting long after it arrived ONE WEEK after ordering, I took it out of the box, assembled the folding arms (super easy), put the batteries on the charger because they were dead. Fortunately I own the same batteries for other tools, and these were charged and I inserted them into the mower, plugged in the plastic key and was on my way. The first lane I cut seemed okay, except half way along the thirty foot...
