kris: It's good and does what it says on the tin but is a bit slower than I thought it would be on the car tyres. Also don't like that you need to hold the trigger either, it should have a lock and just stop not have to hold the trigger continuously.

Stefan: Ich habe den Makita-Kompressor für meine Tochter (Studentin) gekauft. Einen übrigen Akku und ein übriges Ladegerät (braucht man unbedingt, weil sie nicht dabei sind) hatte ich noch in meiner Werkstatt. Der Kompressor pumpt besser als gedacht. Einen Fahrradreifen macht ruck-zuck voll. Einen Autoreifen habe ich noch nicht probiert. Es sind Adapter für eine Ballventil, unterschiedliche Fahrradventile und für ein Autoventil dabei. Per Digitalanzeige sieht man den Druck. Dann gibt es noch einen Einschalter und ein Gashebel, ähnlich wie bei einem Akkuschrauber. Eigentlich selbsterklärend.

David S.: Only came to review for one reason. As others said no locking on switch. HOWEVER, a schedule 40 3/4” coupling works perfectly to hold trigger until it automatically shuts off at desired psi.

Amazon Customer: Love the pump. Bought one before for a family member abroad and because of the Makita platform can take the tools anywhere. This pump does bikes, balls and even car tires (recommend 5amp battery for that!). Great purchase and price, would recommend 100 times over!

J. H.: This cordless air pump works exactly as expected. The pressure meter is accurate (I compared with another pressure meter, as well as the car's built in tire pressure gauge.

HOWEVER, the on/off switch is a trigger that must be pushed the entire time -- if you take your hands off the switch, the pump turns off. This means inflating four tires will require you to bend down and hold on to the switch, and repeat 3 times more. The pump actually has an auto-shutoff feature when you set the desired air pressure, the pump will turn off at that psi even if the power switch is still pressed. It's mind-boggling that they would spend money to add an auto-shutoff feature but then make you bend down to keep the power switch pressed the whole time.

Leysath: I keep adding to my collection of Makita tools, and recently purchased this. The next day I got a flat, and rather than having to pull out the spare, I pulled out this unit and was able to reinflate the tire. Took a bit and I dislike that I have to hold the trigger down (no locking button), but it got the job done. I'll probably add a rubberband to hold the trigger down, but the size makes it easy to carry along for road side issues.

D. Kushner: European product, I could not register with US Makita for warranty. It had two different serial numbers. In addition Makita did not recognize the model number. If you want the Makita warranty I recommend not purchasing this European model.
