Hugh Manatee: Initially this didn't work at ALL,
and I hastily gave it a low review.

Upon further review,
I cleaned my connecting cable
with a micro-fiber cloth, and
this handy little device now works
just fine, as it was intended.

I wanted to set the record straight !

I would definitely buy this again,
and recommend it to others.

DLDL: I tested this tester against a few of my power banks and found that it agrees within a few percentage points for wattage. This is a lot better than some of the cheaper units are off by a wide margin.

The screen is easy to read. Bluetooth does work and there is a basic app for iOS that can be handy. The unit does heat up a bit when 5A is pushed through it but nothing that I would consider concerning.

The only drawback I found is that the PD/PPS trigger functionality is a bit wonky. Sometimes it reports PD 2 instead of PD 3. Some PPS voltages are not attainable even though the attached charger supports them. So if that's important to you then buy something a bit more advanced.

Amazon Customer: USB batteries on amazon are almost universally misleading listings, dramatically overstating the battery capacity or charging capabilities. I use this to measure the charge performance and total battery capacity of usb batteries from amazon listings, so i can know for sure their numbers are junk and by exactly how much when i report them.

It seems accurate and gives expected baselines when running known devices.

Its user interface is a little confusing and its buttons are all multi function, it takes a little bit of fiddling to figure out how to get it to do what you want. Not really an obstacle.

Greg Sweeney: I was having a charging problem from a backup battery to an enclosed battery system . The back uo supply was not recharging the battery bank . So here are the questions ]1] is the port bad on the power supply ,[2] is the USB cord connector bad where it plugs in to the power supply/ battery backup [3] is the USB plug bad at the device [4] is the female plug bad at the device to be recharged.?
You are able to check each of these connection areas with the load tester to a device with a slightly or completely discharged baattery. Check your wall chargers for output and easily determine components to be replaced or repaired. Current flow is displayed at the top of the screen showing current to the device to be charged if all components are working in the circuit. This device is worth every penny in the time you save switching cords and chargers trying to locate a problem with a standard multimeter.

Techguy: To monitor usb c connection you have to keep trying if the cable is flipped correctly. I have to flip the connection a few times before it can be powered on.
