Gardenbun: I had this on my wish list as my original electric kettle was coming to the end of its days, due to a cracked lid and slight leaking issue. This went on sale for Black Fri so I bought it. It's as pretty as in the picture. I like that it keeps the water warm. One caveat: I could be wrong, but I am not seeing a way to turn it off without unplugging it from the wall. The instructions say to turn the heat to '0' and it will shut off, but mine does not. The water stops boiling, of course, but the unit seems to remain in a stand-by mode. The indicator light remains on, even if there is no water in the kettle, until I unplug it from the wall. Not a big deal, but a bit odd.

Happyflowerlady: I usually only have one cup of coffee first thing, and then i either have tea or chicory herbal coffee for the rest of the day, and it is always just made with hot water and not in a coffee pot.
This works perfectly for what I need, heats the water right away, holds just over a quart, so not too large or too small, and keeps it hot indefinitely as needed.

There is a pretty blue light that comes on when the kettle is heating up, it is easy to clean, and has a filter in the pour spout, so you called actually brew a pot of tea in this if you wished to do that.
Overall, I found no faults with this, and am very pleased that I bought it.

Kinipela: I should have bought one of these a long time ago to make my French press coffee in every morning. I had been heating water on the stove in a kettle but this thing is so much easier. I love the shutoff feature which allows me to start it and walk away and it's done when I get back. It keeps the water hot for a long time too. This thing is pretty rugged and I am very happy with it. One thing, the lid doesn't seal 100% and I don't actually think it is supposed to so when you are pouring, so watch where you put your thumb, else you will get a steaming surprise when you turn the kettle on its side to pour out hot water; not the device's fault as I see it, just a learning experience.

Adriel: Update: When pouring after a boil or near boil, was feeling lot of steam back on hand so checked to see if cover was closed well. It seems not to quite seal at the handle end as completely as it should. Its just just , should this open/deteriorate further kettle will have sig problem. So really need to make sure cover is on well.
First the one thing not of 5* quality: There is a nice temp dial and it keeps warm on this setting however apparently in perpetuity. Hence negating the auto shut-off. Now there is a separate independent lever below the handle that boils and it then auto-shuts off and doesn't keep warm. So then you have the boil but not the keep warm. This though is not issue as one could compensate by using the highest temp dial and heating that way and it would keep warm and to then boil it'd be very quick.
The problem though is bit of safety and perhaps damage to the unit should it be forgotten when (especially) on high temp setting and the unit keeps it warm for many hours (days possible?) . What i don't know is if it will stop this 'hold warm' should water run low or out. I hope so.
