John n.: I've taking this ax camping, hiking, and various other adventures over the past couple of years, it's held up well & super sharp. It may not be as practical as a standard hatchet but I haven't lost it like a few others over the years.

Joshua: Very nice Tomahawk. It does have some minor flaws that are easily corrected.

The steel in it is 2CR13 which is just slightly better than 420 stainless. In laymans terms, a low quality metal but considering the pricing point and its main purpose it works well. It will be easy to place a new edge on it which is nice for a chopping weapon.

The spike is sharp on the tip but not on the edge, if you have a grinder and wish to put an edge on the spike it is easily done. This would be personal preference depending on what you intend to use it for. A spike has little use in the camping role, except to stick your tomahawk into a tree when not in use. The spike can be used to bust up rocks if necessary but you are going to likely just damage your tomahawk. Its good to bore out a hole if needed. For the most part as a camping tool a spike is not very useful however as an apocalypse weapon or as a tomahawk its very useful. Thus in that role I suggest sharpening the edges of the spike.

The paracord is not true paracord on the handle Its more like nylon cord with a paracord sheath around it. I personally reccomend trading it out for authentic MIL-C-5040 paracord, this is a...

GunsNGloryGunsNGlory: I must admit, I am a fan of the zombie wave that has taken so many by storm. I dabble in prepping for the possibility of life changing events that require gathering and storing items that would be necessary to survive.

I've researched every type of tomahawk/axe/hatchet around. I really liked the look and reviews on the SOG and Cold Steel variants. Only after reading numerous reviews, I stumbled upon the M48's from United Cutlery. And then, I found this weapon.

My review is only based on the look and feel of this tomahawk. I just received it yesterday and have not had a chance to see how it would respond to rugged use yet.

The green is what caught my attention. It's definitely something every zombie apocalypse prepper needs! The cord wrapped handle feels great. It's well balanced and feels very durable. The nylon sheath secures the axe head by snaps. There's also a nylon belt loop for transportation.

I've uploaded various pictures. I hope they help show you how good this tomahawk really is.

It's a keeper!
