I had purchased a new king sized Lucid mattress in October and since my partner and I LOVE it so much we figured we might as well get a new Lucid bed frame for our new Lucid mattress. Shipping was super fast and easy. Assembly of the frame wasn't bad and the final product looks beautiful. I wanted something that is sturdy and would last me years, but also look nice for a reasonable price. Suffice to say, this product has made my partner and I very happy so far. It has checked all of the boxes and we are confident that our frame will be in our lives years down the line. We will likely be purchasing a matching Lucid headboard in the near future since every product we have purchased from Lucid has been exactly what we wanted.

Tito PhommathaTito Phommatha: Had to rip the actual fabric of the product to put in the slats. The slats are NOT at all measured to fit, you will be wrestling with them thinking they sent you the wrong set from another product. Which by the way, the actual wood they use for the them is some cheap, splinter ridden, lumberyard trash heap, junk wood. Handling them will cut you and give you splinters—not to mention tear up your bed.

Then on top of all that, they have to sit in there crooked for it to resemble anything flat.

Then the instructions, which I’ve provided pictures of, tell you to fasten screws with a screwdriver. NOPE, you’ll either have to drill holes yourself or get a power drill. I’ve provided pictures for the spots they show to screw, but also skipped out on providing drill holes for.

All in all, it doesn’t sit sturdy and you’ll hear wood clanking once your lay down your bed. Don’t get it. There’s plenty reviews just like this explaining the exact same flaws, it’s not a fluke.

Lee: I purchased the Cali King sized frame, assembly was easy enough. The wood pieces to the frame are rough and splintering off in places, but so far it seems durable. There is a weird amount of extra space at the head and foot of the bed frame.

My only real complaint is that a few of the holes to secure pieces had not been drilled yet: there were holes in the slats, but no corresponding holes in the bed frame. I don't know if that's a deliberate design or an oversight, but I would need a drill to secure all the pieces of the bed frame. The instructions say you'll only need a screwdriver.
Not a big deal though, and for the price I am impressed. It looks good, It was sturdy enough for me to drag across the floor while I rearranged furniture, loaded up with a box spring and a mattress.
There is a big, ugly tag on the outside of the head of the bed though. If anyone wants their bed in the middle of the room.

SixtyFour: We’ve long desired a bed larger than Queen and had recently purchased a memory foam Cali King mattress. After deciding we would keep it we needed to get it off the floor and so the search began. Between the limited space in the bedroom, functional preferences, design preferences and price range our options were few. This frame was one of the few which checked most boxes and we are happy with the decision.

Cons:
Whether purchasing frame, headboard or the combo the availability and shipping dates were all over the place. Since I wasn’t willing to wait 2 months it forced me into certain options. These factors are likely in flux all the time so no stars off for that.

Storage... none. There is about a 4” gap at the bottom around the bed so you won’t be sliding anything underneath and there’s no platform to lift so you can’t get under the mattress either. There were no expectations that this item would allow for any storage so no stars off for that.

VERY heavy! Trying to get a cat out from underneath for a Vet appointment was not fun. (A hockey stick or broom will help though!) My cat, my problem, no stars off. :-)
