Kindle Customer: A fun and scary ride, I liked Jetta, she was strong and intelligent. Savair was a sweetie and I liked that he didn’t fight or ignore the mate bond and even when he couldn’t understand her, he still treated Jetta with care and kindness.

Mary Kirkland: Savair rescues Jetta from a trap and keeps her safe. He takes her back to his ship (Sola) and the sentient ship is able to make it so they can communicate with each other. But his Sola is dying and because they are connected, so is he.

Jetta was on a ship that got attacked. She and the other women who were on a research mission crash landed on a planet where they find themselves in a lot of danger. There are friendly aliens like Savair and most of his people and then there are the Brakken who are not nice at all and might just eat anyone they find.

Savair thinks that Jetta might be his mate and he wants to keep her even though some of his people don't think he should have a mate since his first priority should be to his Sola. He and his sentient ship are connected and most leaders who have a Sola do not get mates as well so some of his people are having a hard time accepting Jetta.

Jetta sets out to save some of the women who were on the ship with her and she shows Savair and his people that she is more than just a mate, she can be helpful too and she was. The Sola was strange though and I had some problems in the way she acted. I'm calling the Sola a she...

Jan B.: A good story line though I felt the characters were a bit flat, 2D. Basically emotions, feelings, senses were fully developed or explored.

E. Nolan: Another free SF/romance loss leader, and my favorite of the batch.
Six women scientists are on an expedition to evaluate a distant
planet. It's not entirely a coincidence that the expedition is all
distaff, but they're not making some big point either. It just
kind of happened with x knows y and z being on the rebound etc etc
-- anyway they all get along pretty well, though the sponsors seemed
to have hired a low-bid crew to run the ship, and are looking forward
to getting started when they are suddenly attacked.

Jetta finds herself in a lifeboat, crashing down on an alien world
(not the one they were going to study), and barely surviving.
Luckily the air is breathable. Still things look pretty bleak until
she is rescued by the Destra, a non-technical but very humanoid and
space-faring (they are symbiotic with living ships) people. More
specifically she is rescued by a Destra Lord -- the tribe leader
and commander of one of the living ships. And he's hella hot. Not
that things are exactly peachy. His ship is dying, there is dissent
in his tribe, and the aliens who shot down Jetta's ship are still
around, and moving on the...

Deb J: I started this story months ago through kindle unlimited, but returned it because I wasn’t into it. I ended up getting it again, and finishing it this time. It’s an okay story, I just found it hard to attach myself to the story at the beginning.

Sugar B: Awesome story about a group of women who get stranded on a strange world after their ship is destroyed 😕. But, they find out that they aren't the only ones stranded and there's some Really Bad aliens who are out to get them both 😲. Totally Amazing are the ships that the good people are in 😃. Thanks Ella, I'm enjoying this story so much I can't wait to read more 🤓.

Spinneretta: **Mild Spoilers ahead**
Savair is a Lord of Destra, one of a race of beings who is bound to a living ship as a symbiont. He is responsible for taking care of the ship, and the many beings that live aboard it.
Jetta is a human woman who became stranded on another world when the research ship they were on crashed. Rescued from a trap by Savair, she is introduced to this alien race and surprised when he declares them mates.
But this is an alien world for them both, and it harbours many dangers, not all of them as remote as one might wish…

This is an entertaining sci-fi romance, with an unusual twist in the introduction of the Solas- the living ships. The usual sci-fi romance things we all love and enjoy are present too: sex, love, betrayal, enemies, an unknown future… but it’s an enjoyable trip thus far, with some intriguing characters (I admit to finding the Solas my favourite character!), an interesting overarching/underlying plot line, and the promise of future stories to come!

This one is a good read for fans of sci-fi romance with an alien hero!

Kindle Customer CarmenB: I’m really digging this new series with aliens and live ship symbiotic relationships. The Destran Lord Saviar rescues a human, Jetta, that has crash landed on the same planet his people landed on. He immediately lights up with mate markings but humans don’t work that way and he has to earn her love and acceptance in the midst of attacks by other aliens and with a sickly symbiont. I loved the action and the steam and can’t wait to read the next book!
