My son uses this brief case for his paperwork and books in high school. It does take a beating, thus this is why it is our second purchase of this exact same briefcase after 2 years. The locks work very well. It looks nice. The case is inexpensive compared to other cases, but under normal adult use it should last longer than 2 years.
