C. Baker: Tough to find a test light anymore that isn't an LED. I like being able to see if it lights bright or dim which you can do with this test lamp. Heavy cord with a nice ground clamp.

Sean O'Leary: Saw a middle aged human use these on VVG and thought ‘how hard can it be’ yep I like it, good. Just forgot what the lights mean green means negative or positive and amber mean lawsuit or rather very negative.

Bill Newton: As far as I can see looking carefully it is made in USA. No made in PRC anywhere. It works very well.

Working till death: It’s a jumper cable, ground tester, power feed.

You used the shorting button to test if a line is shortened to ground. The light will flow dim is okay or bright if shorted. No replacing a 200 fuses looking for a short

lloyd: looks just about like my snap-on test light at half the price. works great.
even goes to 48 volt, my other one goes only to 19. worked for about 1 yr then quit.
little resister inside burnt out, no more display. my snap on still working for more
than 8 yrs. better off spending a bit more than replacing every yr for 75 dollars.
dont know if theres warranty can not contact seller. just an update to my review.

Jorge: Great product. Sometimes it’s a bit hard to see the reading. It has to be turned to the side a bit to see since the backlighting drowns out the reading slightly. Works great, I’ve used it for roughly 2 years now. It reads down to the decimal value and the clamp is decently strong and holds on nicely. It lights up red for clamp on negative and probe on positive and green for reverse polarity. The cord has good length. I’ve always been able to get multiple test points without having to look for another ground. It’s no snap-on but I would buy this again. It’s worth every penny.

Joshua w.: I like this test light for the polarity indicator mostly...if you ever take out bulb, make sure it goes in the same direction or itll only light red for power.
It's safe on ECUs...the only complaint I have is the cord isnt very long, but I just found some wire that was nice and pliable and made a 5-6' lead instead of the existing one which isnt that long.
Also put a new alligator clip on when I did this, one that'll grab battery terminals better. I had thought about making a modular lead w/ some female 4mm banana plug adapters and soldering that on so I could use my Fluke modular accessories (backprobes, different sizes alligator clips, etc). Maybe when I get bored.
The point is, you can kinda do whatever you want to this tool and still have a cheap, comfortable test light that's computer safe w/ polarity for cheap. If you want a 10' lead, itll probably work.
It's nice to modify test lights to fit my specific needs, I dont find it necessary to buy an expensive test light when I can make one.
When I wanted a Load Pro dynamic test lead set, i just made one with an old test light, two 50ohm resistors in parallel (25ohm) and a little momentary NC switch. I think mine...

MDSWA: I have gone through several of these type of circuit testers and they tend to not last very long under even moderate use. It's maddening to have these things fail when you're doing automotive troubleshooting under less than ideal conditions. This tester is the best I've ever used. The probe is sharp, the cord and clip are heavy duty and the handle is sturdy.

My first project with this tester was install a new 7 way RV plug on my pickup along with a 4 way flat utility trailer plug. The tester stayed attached to the ground bolt I was using and glowed brightly in the daylight when I tested live 12 volt circuits. The plastic body is built sturdy and withstands drops well. It fits in the hand like a well made screwdriver. One of the weak spots on testers like this is where the cord enters the bottom of the tester body. The cord tends to wear at this point and eventually shorts out. The Lisle tester has a thick wrap on the cord here that protects it from fraying. All of the Lisle tools I've used have been very good quality. I'm very happy with this purchase and I think this tester will last a very long time.
