Amazon Customer: I don't use this too often. It is really great for when I'm having a bad day and have to walk. It is pretty nice to walk with and the little stool is great. I am a small person and it is pretty comfortable for me to sit on. No issues so far.

drlorimom: Because of a health issue limiting my ability to stand, I take this seat everywhere...shopping, traveling by plane or train, etc ...anywhere I might get caught having to stand. It slips open fairly quickly & easily and supports my 5'9" average build well. I've had many people ask where they can buy one. For obese individuals I would not recommend. Also, as instructed, it works best if straddled...thus it's not the best for a woman wearing a dress. It fits into an overhead compartment on a plane but not into a large suitcase. The plastic caps on each leg tend to wear away and also to fall off, despite my having glued them in place

kc8848: My husband picked this particular cane seat out because of the handle. He's yet to actually use it in public but it's not the sturdiest of seats. Depending on how stable a person is, this could easily be tipped over when getting up from a seated position. My husband is on the rather thin side, underweight and I can't see a person much bigger than him trying to use this chair.

KittyCat: I bought this product for my husband who has MS. He has balance and vertigo issues and occasionally needs to stop and recalibrate himself. He thinks it’s a fantastic cane and seat. He can walk a little further with a beak when needed and stand or sit in line without fear of swaying or falling. He feels safe sitting on it and it’s lightweight for walking. The only con is the legs don’t tuck in tighter like an umbrella for storage.
He weighs 180lbs and is 5’10” tall.

BRIAN: First, I have spinal stenosis and neurogenic claudication. That means I get into a lot of pain standing or walking for a period of time, varies between five and fifteen minutes, but sitting is fine. This is the opposite of degenerative disk drive sesame, who have their greatest trouble with sitting. I love to go shopping in large hardware stores, but by the time I get to the product I want to review, I am in too much pain to review it. Sitting on the floor attracts too much attention. Being able to sit down, read the details on an item, or look and exam different items being sold while in the store frees me to do the things I enjoy. After two or three minutes, the pain is gone, and on to the next item. It means I am not restricted to shopping at Amazon. On the other hand, I couldn't find this product any where else! You have to be careful with it as the construction is a balance between strength and portability. I'm am ex football player, built like one, and with a little care, it works just fine for me. Now I can spend hours in Home Depot, but I try to buy some stuff on Amazon to support it too. Because if you can't find it somewhere, you can find it here. Good product.
