Traildreamin: I've only been able to use these on two short hikes so far, but I've had no problems (I only use one pole). The locks have stayed in place, and I have enjoyed the cork grips so far. I will see how they stand up vs the plastic ones I am used to. My only thing to change would be the thickness of the extended cushion grips. My old pole had a much thicker foam grip, and it felt more secure when I wanted to have a lower grip when using to pull up really steep climbs.

Amazon Customer: My physical therapist suggested I buy some hiking poles to help me walk on the icy streets of my town. Also just to provide general stability for any terrain. I have never used hiking poles before and did not want to spend a lot of money on an unknown entity. So I purchased these poles at an ultra reasonable price. I expected a flimsy type product but was pleasantly surprised by the good quality of these poles. They are perfect for what I need! Literally just what the doctor ordered.Don’t let the cheap price fool you.

Michael M.: I purchased these trekking poles wondering if the cost was indicative of the quality. I was SHOCKED at how wrong I was. I took them on a 30-miler in Sierra Nevada. The terrain varied from dirt, to small boulders, to craggy shale. Walking down a few mountain sides, I remember thinking the poles were certainly helping prevent me from falling and splitting my skull in half. The poles saw high heat, as well as cold streams, lakes, and rain. The poles absolutely exceeded my expectations in quality and craftsmanship. I would recommend them to anyone wanting high quality and great value combined.

We ride freight trains & these walking sticks are also our 4' bad weather tarp tent center poles.
With a simple 10x10 tarp we pyramid up quickly.
Long as it doesn't flood, your completely out of the wind and rain with plenty room to sit up or lay out.
We use long cheap screw drivers as durable tent pegs.
It's all about being light weight & durable.
This pole is definitely hobo approved with me.
