Beth: I installed this on a stock tank to convert it to a rain barrel for my garden, and it works great! Installation was fast and easy and took under five minutes - you just put the back part through the hole from inside the barrel and then screw in the spigot on the outside - just make sure that your spigot ends up right side up. There is absolutely zero wiggling and I did not use any plumber's tape and I haven't had any leaks. This is infinitely better than the cheap plastic one that I had on a previous rain barrel.

The handle is super strong and very easy to turn on and off - it's also very easy to see if it is on or off, which is great.

Hooking up the drip irrigation tubing/hose to the spigot was super easy, and there have been no leaks there either.

Overall, this is rock solid and performs perfectly!

William Buchanan: This was almost too easy to install! The hardest part of the install is drilling a 1 1/4" hole in the plastic barrel with a hole saw, which is actually very simple. Very high quality brass spigot with seals. It works GREAT!! Highly recommend this product for your rain barrel.

Kirm: I've got it on my rain barrel and am very happy with it. I just wanted to say there is a reason they put a string in the kit. Look up videos on ewwwwtube and you'll see it's pretty simple work to install this unit with only the hole for the valve and the bung.

Highly recommended for turning plastic barrels into rainwater receptacles.

rswoods: This is a quality valve, it installed very easily and does not leak. As I think some others have noted, the 3/8" outlet hole is too small, it takes forever to fill a container from the barrel. It would be better if it had a 1/2" or even 5/8" outlet.
