I found this to be a very study box that appears to have good water resistance. The plastic is strong, thick, and not brittle. One thing that is not so strong is the hinges for the lid over the small storage tray on top of the box. Don't try opening the box by this lid, it will come right off. But, it goes back on easily. Latch feels good and secure, handle is comfortable.

I used this box to make a solar battery box. Had enough space for a Eco-Worthy 30AH battery, Eco-Worthy 12V 20A DC to DC and solar charger, meters and outlets, wifi temperature monitor, and plenty of space to spare for solar cable storage. The plastic is strong, easy to drill and cut with a saber saw.

At first I did not like the little pop open storage on the top thinking it would take up needed internal space but it worked great to put a digital amp meter, cell phone charge ports with volt meter, and coaxial 5.5mm D.C. outlets. KodyKody: Good for dividing stuff inside the large plano boxes or just its own thing. They're durable too! You can stick 5 of them in the larger box (not pictured as I just returned from evacuating a forest fire) or just have a couple in it to better organize, though it does eat up a few CM between each of these. They have locking feet and you can stack these on top of each other pretty well, but their thinness do make it so they can only be as stable as they are wide.

Waterproof ring works fine on the one I dropped in the water, not sure if EACH is as good as it but yeah the gasket ring worked once. If you wanna use them for loose rounds they are good , they are... semi able to carry a few mags but eh. They are better for bits and pieces, odds and ends. Really good for airsoft or general shop organization too.

Jimmy N.: Love the box, I won't give it 5-stars only because I still favor the classic GI ammo cans. That being said this thing is wonderful if you keep your uses reasonable. This day and age, plastics are tougher but I wouldn't beat it like a metal can. These are priced right, (under $5) and made in USA. Super win in my book. As other similar boxs are priced the same but made in china. Seals very well and tight. Brand new they'll have a funky plastic smell to them that you may want to air out a bit. I've used some of these to hide chocolate from others in the house, and at that role it has function flawlessly.

Ammo jobs, it handles my handgun needs rather well. No complaints. I'd find these be great use to store minor first aid, tools and equip and leave in a trunk of a car, treehouse, etc and not worry. If you're like most people who buy ammo cans, you're one of those who can always find a use for one. These are priced just right to use for anything. Dremel storage. Soldering tools, etc. The person looking will find a use for it. Just keep in mind it isn't .50 ammo can tough.

Mark R. Wietstock: This is a nice, reasonably priced ammo container. It's made of pretty thick, durable polymer, with a very beefy handle, a snug rubber gasket running around the inner edge of the lid, and a tight lid clasp.

It's "lockable," that is, it has a hole in it's front-edge lip to put a small lock through, making this can "legal" for transporting ammo in states where a locked container is required. But you should keep in mind the container is made of polymer, and the lock isn't going to prevent someone from, e.g., walking off with the whole container and/or busting the lock/lid off with a crowbar or pair of big pliers. It will discourage children and nosy friends/guests from getting into the box, but I would consider this more of a convenience container (to keep your ammo dry and carry a small supply out to the range, camping, etc.) than a "security" box.

It's not very big ... about the same storage capacity as your average adult lunchbox. If you buy/store your ammo in factory boxes, how much you can store in this can will depend entirely on the configuration of the boxes. For example, I could only fit 400 rounds of Federal Champion FMJ 9mm (bought in 4, 100-round "value...
