Michael Sicard: For more than ten years a La Crosse projection clock has been on my bedside table. When I saw this new model with wifi weather capabilities (as in no more need for external sensors and batteries every two years) I jumped on it.
The first shipment powered up but refused to connect to wifi. I contacted La Crosse and they immediately sent a replacement. No further issues.
Since this is next to my bed, I've turned the brightness down to minimum. The projection to the ceiling is in a 'soft' red color which doesn't affect any sleep.
Good product, good price. I hope this one also lasts more than a decade.

B. Chun: This item is great for what it does. If you are interested in something that gives you the temperature and humidity and can have external sensors, awesome.

I wanted this SOLELY to have accurate time. In Hawaii, the Cesium clock signal from Denver doesn't make it across the Pacific Ocean. The projected time is excellent for the bedroom. Now if they would consider making two other versions:

1. Without projected time (I use it in the living room since our cable box doesn't have a digital display)
2. With radio and projected time (we have one in the bedroom so all we need to do is look up and there's the time; radio would make it an awesome clock/alarm)

The premise is that I basically hate having to adjust the time if my clocks runs fast or slow.

Marc: This clock took some work to get it going. The small instruction pamphlet is very short on details and some features are not explained well. Go to the LaCrosse web site and download the full manual. That got my going, but in the process, here's what I've learned. Hopefully that will save you some frustrations.
Get your phone on a 2.4GHz Wifi. If it is on 5GHz, setup won't work. Weather never worked using my postal code. I had to use the nearest major city name. Then it worked. Yes, it can display in Celcius, but you have to manually set that on the clock using the manual's instructions. Setting that in the app won't change it on the clock. Ti have the projector alternate between time and something else, download the manual! The included pamphlet is of no help at all.
A bit of a pain to setup however now that it's connected, it's awesome. Time is always correct. DST time change is automatic. Temperature and weather forecast from the internet. The projection can be rotated so it is always upright to you while laying in bed and the clock can face any direction you want. The projection's brightness (and clock display as well) is adjustable. I use my phone to wake me up so I have...

S. Weber: App is confusing and not easily navigated. Will not connect to WIFI...have a new router and is 5G.....So no go. Clock itself is a bit small and just feels cheap. Just not worth the money....feels and seems like a $20.00 dollar store clock....just don't waste your money.

Pete T: Took me about an hour to get it up and running. I eventually did a factory reset and switched off all the 5ghz networks on my router and it connected first time. As others have said it looks like you can't connect to a router broadcasting anything other than 2.4ghz but I can't be 100% certain as it may have been the factory reset which fix it. I had expected a bit more to be honest but for the money it's great value. I have the internet temperature projected on my ceiling alternating with the time and a bunch of information on the display. My ceilings are very high and there is no ability to focus the beam so the image is a tiny bit blurred. You can auto-dim the display at night and you can change the intensity of the beam, you can even switch off the screen completely if you like a very dark room.

malekmalek: To be honest with you I never lie if you put it where your head is it's awesome. but what's the point is projector the point of projector is to put it A Little Far the only reason I bought it because I want to see it on the ceiling but it's very small it's almost like looking 2 AAA battery from far away the projection is so small and its not so bright I have very old one you can look at photos I took I put them side-by-side old one and the new one the photos are taking only one metre away from my foot..
I just wanted to upgrade but the old one is so bright the projection is adjustable but it broke it was awesome compared to this high-tech one this is not a technology I will say this sucks!! ...
as a watch is good but not so bright the projection is so small 3 stars is more than enough

Kdrh: Update: The company of LaCrosse sent me a new clock itself, and it works perfectly as it was stated here. I’m definitely impressed, and how well the clock works so I’m giving it 4 stars instead of the original 1 star.

I can't really say much I liked about it except I like the whole concept of how they had the screen and neat things you could do with the "clock", and in the app you download with. I was aware of the difficulties of connecting it to Wifi since it can only be connected to 2.4gHZ and not 5G. Well It would "connect" to half way, and update the time, and date, and that was it. It would never give the outside HI and LOW, and the forecast it just stayed in standby mode like I never connected to Wifi. Well after a few days of going through there step by step troubleshooting of router problems, and not connecting or not finding, or being used, etc, etc, and after reaching out to there customer service by phone calls, emails, facebook, and so many other ways that I wasn't getting no answers or reply's on other ways to figure out why it would only connect the Wifi for my time, and date, and not the rest of the clock. Not to mention that the Date would clitch with...

AtaxiandMe: Note: my rating for technical support was that provided by Amazon.

This is how all my connected clocks should work. I have 3 other connected clocks, but they require I connect via bluetooth (with the occasional, why didn't it warn the battery was about to die or do I have to factory reset and lose my temperature/humidity history...and why is the history always delayed by 24 hours...to fix bluetooth.) But, living at the wrong end of a concrete building makes it difficult to get my atomic clocks to sync. Of the three atomic clocks that might sync every 2-3 days, two of them are from LaCrosse...and two of them have full day name displays.

Though it doesn't help me remember what day it is, if I don't stop to read that part of the clock ... Saw I taught Alexa to tell me what day it is when I get up (you have an all day event in progress called "Monday".)

So, at the end of the day, I often find myself reclined and glancing that ceiling wondering why there's no clock to tell me how late it is, so I went looking for a self-setting projection clock recently...and came across this WiFi one, and it seems to be the only one (projection or not) that is affordable or do a...
