Darthgarrett: The temperature readout is consistently 1-2° below what the temp actually is, and can not be recalibrated.
Outside of that though, love it. Clock is thin, has thin cord and can adjust the brightness level (unlike the temp).

Abraham AguirreAbraham Aguirre: Importante: Este no es en ninguna circunstancia un instrumento de medida. Si requieres lecturas exactas de temperatura y humedad este reloj no te servirá.
El reloj es bonito como un adorno para el escritorio o cualquier otro mueble pero no da buenas mediciones de temperatura y humedad. En las imágenes muestro a la derecha un instrumento preciso de medición y en más de tres horas de comparación encontré que este reloj acurite no estuvo ni cerca de los valores reales. Otra cosa que me molesta un poco es una mancha de pintura blanca en mi unidad, está por dentro del reloj de la pantalla. El rango de brillo es aceptable pero el ángulo de visión es pobre, debes observarlo de frente para una imagen óptima. Solo lo recomiendo si lo encuentras en oferta porque no vale el precio de lista.

Nathan and Darlah: positives:
-nice clock face (colors and font)
-the addition of day of the week, date, temperature and humidity is nice
-can read the time with my glasses off

negatives:
-off angle viewing isn't great (but still legible)
-the "intelli-time" spiel is market speak for having an additional backup battery and to me at least seemed misleading because I thought with a company name like "AcuRite" it meant the clock would be accurate. It's only drifted about 3 second since setting it up in November but in the age of cell phones etc I shouldn't have to think about whether my clock has drifted too much.

Night Owl: Update (February 2023) - All of these clocks run slow (automatic time set), but you can manually set the time manually. There is a set button on the side, I tried it before but was not able to set it. I gave my sister one and she said she manually set the time some time ago (I had replaced these with Amazon echos). So I pressed the button and held it down for some seconds and you can set the time manually something I had previously tried and failed to do. I don't think these came with directions. I had given up on these clocks due to the slow running clocks, all of my manually set clocks run fast. So these are good clocks would be five star if the auto set worked but I give them four stars. I'm just kind of frustrated I went so much trying to set these and I think of myself as savvy with electronics. Could have came with directions. Press and hold the middle button labeled SET (which pissed me off previously as I couldn't set the clock) and hold it and it will eventually allow you to manually set the clock. I have to put these clocks back out around the house once I figure out what I did with the rest of them...

Update (June 2021) - Unfortunately I cannot recommend this...

Harrsel: This is really a great clock, the instructions are precise and written in proper English! Set up was incredibly simple, the clock was already set to my time zone (EST) and all I did was switch the temperature from Fahrenheit to Celsius. It also has not skid pads on the bottom so no worries about scratching furniture which is a nice feature. I was at first worried that the white plastic frame would be too white and cheap looking but in fact it's a bit duller then the picture shown and is well finished, doesn't look cheap at all. The daylight saving time feature is also a plus, no more having to add or subtract an hour twice a year, it's done automatically. The backup batteries are not included which would have been nice, but certainly not an issue. I was looking at other clocks which were twice the price and basically offered the same features, I chose this one initially based on cost and I'm very happy I did. The size is just perfect for a night table. I'm just hoping it won't lose time which based on other reviews doesn't seem to be a problem. I'd highly recommend this one, you won't go wrong!

Snap, Crackle and Pop: There are a lot of reasons to like this AcuRite 13040 Clock, and I'd recommend it to anyone. It's almost, but not quite, perfect. And it's a lot better than the dozens of clocks I looked at before I found this one.

LIMITED VIEWING ANGLE: The clock does have one significant issue: the viewing angle is very limited if you're not looking down at the clock. (This is due to it using LCD rather than LED technology.) So if you want to place the clock on a shelf rather than a bedside table, you might not be able to see it very well unless you make arrangements to tip it forward. We use the clock in our children's room, on a shelf that's about 50 inches off the ground, so I'll have to come up with a way to tilt it forward. It would be great if they made a version of this clock with an adjustable angle, that let it be tilted to suit the placement so it could be used on a shelf. The side-to-side viewing angle seems somewhat better.
