LaLeProLaLePro: Obviously it’s the brand that’s king of U-Locks. But I bet it someone had a battery powered angle grinder they could get through this. Catalytic converter thieves usually carry those around but your typical minor criminal may not have electric tools to steal your bike and so these U-locks definitely do the job. The connector to the bike took some time for me to get it right and sturdily secured to the bike. I originally mounted it on the top but then I decided to get another lock to lock my front tire to the bike. These two pairs well together on the bone. If I had two slider connections there wouldn’t be enough time but this other u-lock swivels to connect to the mounting bracket and therefore doesn’t need extra room to attach to the bike. Just wish I could still have room for a water bottle but locks are more important for city biking.

Mr. D. Zamorano: The mounting system for the frame of the bike could be improved. I have a medium size hybrid, and I can't attach the lock anywhere on the frame due to its size.

maureen floyd: Lock seems to be as advertised. Hefty and secure, the included mount is very adaptable to achieve various mount locations. We bought the "LS" (long shaft?) model and I'm glad we did as it is just long enough to easily reach out past any fenders/racks to reach a secure lock point/post.
One I'll advise is that the 4" width is NOT wide enough to be able pas over the rim/tires on the new "fat bikes"... other than that I'm impressed so far and have had no issues locking and unlocking as noted in other reviews.

Impromptu: Candado que no es standard pero tampoco mini. Creo que su tamaño es ideal para lo que no quieren caragr mucho pero no desean tener un mini por temor a no encontrar dónde asegurar la bici. En cuanto a su resistencia pues lo normal para un nivel 6 de Kryptonite. Lo recomiendo

Carl W.: I got this lock to replace my old Keeper 2. Both locks are great for locking bicycles, nothing short of power tools will get past them. And power tools are conspicuous. The keeper 2 was a great lock, despite the key sometimes being sticky, but the mount that came with the lock wouldn't fit on my bike well and wore out over time. Eventually, it fell off the mount while I was riding my bike, and I was unable to find it. I bought this lock to replace. Already, this lock is of a noticeably higher quality than the keeper 2. There is a plastic covering for the keyhole to prevent wear, it is much sturdier, and the locking mechanism itself seems more solid. Again, however, the mounting mechanism is tedious to set up (I can't get mine on correctly again, it is weirdly designed and I couldn't find any instructions for it), but it seems to be of a higher quality than the one that came with my keeper 2. I am still, however, worried that after prolonged use the mounting mechanism will wear out and the lock will fall out again, but that's nothing against the lock itself which is what you really pay for.

What gets this lock 5 stars is the customer service. I had ordered...

🔹 Catrinka 🔹: Our son had his bike stolen on his college campus recently. While he keeps his more expensive mountain bike in his campus apartment, he also had a second bike that he kept in the general bike-parking areas scattered throughout the large university campus. It's this one that he used to get to/from classes and it was stolen because someone easily cut the cable lock he'd been using to secure it.

While he had an old U-lock at the time, he often didn't use it because it was small and difficult to thread through the distance on his larger frame bike (he's nearly 6'4"). That's why we ordered this Kryptolok Series 2 LS U-Lock -- it's longer. The class-to-class transportation bike has now been replaced and he's finding this longer, larger U-Lock easier to use when securing the bike. It's obviously only going to work if he uses it; but the fact that it isn't a struggle to use now should resolve that issue.

With the past U-lock, he usually just stuck it in his backpack as he was riding between classes. The bracket for this lock took a bit of maneuvering and adjustment to get it right -- but it works well now. The only other downside is the weight. It's...

Geoone: I bought this lock to lock the two handles of my shed together and it works perfect for the job at hand. My motorcycle is locked inside the shed and I'm using this lock to thrwart any would be thieves from getting my bike easier or using tools from the shed to break in my home. I wanted it to be easy to use since my mom does gardening and we share the same shed. Compared to the old system I had she was delighted in the ease of use, when you unlock it, it can only be out together one way or it will not work.My motorcyle is also locked inside the shed and there are other layers of security in place , but the price is right and so is the quality of the product.

Javi sp: I've been using this lock for 4 or 5 months now.... Gets 5 stars in consideration of reasonable price... I've seen flimsier locks for about the same price in stores

The Pros-
1. I have a hybrid upright position bike and for the those familiar with these bikes you know there tends to be a greater distance from the frame to the tire making it necessary to have a longer bike lock to secure both onto bike parking racks. The length on the lock works great for this purpose.

Areas of concern, but not a deal breaker as far as I'm concerned
2. The flex frame bracket is flimsy but if secured on the right spot and tightly it will work out just fine. Took me a good deal of time to find the right spot since I'm INCREDIBLY not manually inclined as well as the initial installation about an hour or so *(disclaimer it does come unloose and requires tightening from time to time and I also require a reusable zip tie to secure it to frame else the lock would hit my leg) it works because I managed to rest it on the water bottle holder screws as well..... don't know if it would hold otherwise??? again not manually inclined and I managed to figure it out so you can...
