Maria: I was pleasantly surprised that I got partially clear cubes from tap water in these cube trays. I have no idea how but it was good. That was the first batch which made nice large cubes. They do not pop out as stated. You will have to leave them on the counter for a few minutes after running under water for a bit. Although I don’t think that is really necessary if you have patience to let them sit. The trays can become misshapen if not perfectly flat in your freezer. Hard to do sometimes in bottom drawer freezers. I saved 2 of these trays for freezing herbs, cubes of gravy, flavoured butters, etc. Reserve them for that use as it may be hard to get fresh tasting ice cubes if you switch back and forth they do hold the odor of your herb cube

ks: This is by far the Best Buy for ice tray cubes! You get 4 trays & covers for the price. They work great, they're easy to get the cubes out & the cubes are perfect. Highly recommend.

randy: I would give this a five-star review but I have to take off one star or at least half of one if the option was there these are absolutely amazing they're easy to clean the only issue I have is the lids that they have do not like to stay on I think within the first couple of weeks I just threw them away

SHUGG: I bought these ice cube trays w/lids mainly because they were cheap. They were so cheap that I bought 20 of them. Yep - 20 silicone ice cube trays. That's 120 2" ice cubes. I use a lot of ice. Yesterday they arrived. The first thing I noticed when I unboxed is that they didn't have any smell, like other reviewers have mentioned. If there was any odor, it was only what you would expect from a silicone product wrapped in plastic on a warm day. They looked fine. So, I filled all 20 of them with water and stacked them in my chest freezer. Filling was easy, but the lids are useless. They don't fit snug or stay on, let alone prevent leaks/spills. Fortunately, the trays stack OK without the lids, but it would have been a lot nicer to have lids that prevent spills. I also noticed that it took longer for the trays with lids to freeze vs the open trays. Speaking of freezing, these ice cube trays seem to take longer than they should to freeze. Granted, I had them stacked, but a single uncovered tray still takes a while. After 24 hours I pulled my 20 ice cube trays from the freezer and emptied one.
