Jeremy Bacigalupo: Bought to supplement my kitchen fridge/freezer. Unit is as expected and described. Very quiet.
Showed up without any rear "feet". Unsure if this by design or error. Protruding bolts scratched countertop, so be aware to add your own.

Mack Mcleod: Gets down to minus 20F or so after maybe 4 - 6 hours at setting 7. I should get a proper freezer thermometer to know for sure. The digital thermometer I have is rated for minus 57F but the display gets corrupted a little under the freezing mark. A small analog thermometer says minus 20 so it's probably OK. I didn't realize how small it is inside. It will help me with frozen items overflow from kitchen freezer as I get ready for a holiday gathering but a large frozen tray item won't fit so I'll juggle stuff around between the freezers. If I was to do it again, I'd probably get one of the 3 cubic foot size. Still, it works fine, was inexpensive and will do what I need. Longevity? Don't know yet.

Alm: Review of Mini 1.2 cu.ft upright freezer, outside dimensions 19.5x19x18 in. Amazon placed reviews for 2 different models on the same page. There is are NO wire baskets inside, it's a small cube.
Silent. I had to put my ear to the wall to make sure it's working.
Cools very well, specs say -11.2F but it can do better yet. I put a small block of ice with a temperature probe frozen into, loaded full of frozen food from the fridge/freezer, set thermostat to 7 - the highest. It was running nonstop, not cycling, went all the way to -26F, I got scared and pulled the plug. Set thermostat between 6 and 7, now it was cycling, temperature settled down on -10F. Next week there was a 3 hours blackout, I didn't open the door, temperature went up to -1F. Good enough.
Temperature is holding stable at -10F/-23C, goes mere 1F/0.5C up and down, not several degrees up/down like the freezer bin of a two-door fridge/freezer.
Capacity - imagine freezer bin of 15-17 cu.ft fridge-freezer, so this Koolatron is about 2/3 of that bin. Enough for 1 or 2 people if you're not hunting deer or buying large quantities of meat on the farms.

MiscellaneousMiscellaneous: Wanted a tiny freezer to store non food items for cosmetic making (lotion, shampoo etc).
In terms of $/cubic foot, this freezer is extremely expensive. You could get a 3 cubic foot freezer for nearly the same price. However, freezers are less efficient if there isn't things inside to increase the thermal capacity. I don't have that much to put in it. 1 cubic foot is perfect for a bunch of oil and vitamin bottles to increase the shelf life.
My ideal would have been a lab freezer, but those are nearly 10 times the price.
Mini fridges with freezers are nearly twice the price, offer less freezer space, and are much larger.
This fits the bill; It's nearly the same size as a ~1 cubic foot fire safe (see picture) and all freezer, no fridge. I have it set to 6/7 on the dial and achieve - 27 celsius.
If you're looking for a small lab type freezer, this is perfect.
