Amazon Customer: A good five or more years ago, I bought a similar synthetic rope from HF. While two other standard ropes have rotted away in the interim, the synthetic rope works as well today as the day I bought it. It has faded some but continues to be strong, in spite of 6 months of every year constant exposure to the sun. I keep my boat at an uncovered dock 24/7. The other ropes that I have had rotted out in a year or two. The synthetic hasn't. Since this is a different brand, I can only hope that I get the same long-term wear from this one.

Eva Odland: I used this to fabricate a new running backstay for my project boat, a fractional rig Pearson Flyer 30 foot racing sailboat.
Using a cascade of blocks, I made use of one end as is, and spliced and eye through a block. I also fabricated a soft shackle from left over. The line is inexpensive, crazy strong and easy to splice. The SK75 grade is more utilitarian but plenty strong for my purpose. Fantastic stuff...replaces heavy and expensive wire rope for many applications. The line I received was in good shape and I found no issues. The stainless eyes were nicely locked in and spliced. High value for sure.

Fellow consumer: I did not purchase this product to use in a winch, but to use as part of a 4 to 1 mechanical pulley rigging system. I managed to snap it using my pickup truck in 4 low. However I cut out the bad part and spliced it and it's fine again. For the price it's just fine for non-heavy duty work. For anything serious I would definitely get thicker.

THE ONE I HAVE IN USE HAS SUFFERED A LOT OVER THE LAST 15 YEARS AND I STILL USE IT ON MY ATV PLOW. IF AND WHEN IT FAILS I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO WAIT FOR A NEW ONE. IT'S A LITTLE SHORTER AND I HAD TO BRAID A NEW EYE INTO IT. I'VE GROWN TO RESPECT THIS WINCH ROPE WHICH IS WHY I USE IT TO DESCRIBE WHY I PURCHASED ONE TO REPLACE IT.
