Freddy: The line looks like most mid grade synthetic on the market, time will tell if the test rating for break strength and durability are as claimed? It should do the job for running my plow in winter but not sure about how useful it will be for normal use ! I run a doughnut on the line to protect the hook from damaging the rollers on the winch, the sleeve is too large for the inside diameter of the doughnut this would stop it from sliding along the line and also may not enter the winch without bunching up the sleeve.. Survey came too soon after purchase is not yet installed thus some of my assumptions may be unfounded?

C.Miller: You can tell right out of the box that this rope is quality. Very tense and has a strong feel. Pulled a big tree out of the trail and towed a friend and it tensed up and pulled no trouble. I'll probably go with fiery red in future purchases.

Dominic CyrDominic Cyr: The last thing you want from a winch rope is to keep broking while you need it. Stay away from this rope. It's been 6 years since i own my ATV and this one is the worst rope I ever owned.
On light duty (plow in front of a UTV), it didn't last a month... or like 4 or 5 snow days. That's in my driveway so it could be worst.
What it gonna be if I get stuck in the middle of nowhere with my UTV and only rely on my winch?
I hope they will refund me. I have somethibg else to do than unmount my winch to change the cable in the middle of a plowing duty.

BbReview: UPDATE - I have put this rope through the gauntlet while plowing my driveway. I finally snapped it but nothing could survive what I put this through. When I went to fix it, the line spooled off the winch with no pinches. The “upgrade” the dealer put on it would compress so bad I had to disassemble the front a bit to get the winch off the 4 wheeler. Would take 2 hours each time. This stuff simply unspooled enough to fix the hook and I’m back at it in 30 minutes. I would buy this again and again but, it lasts so long I won’t need to anytime soon.

When I bought my new Can Am I “upgraded” to a poly rope from the metal winch line. The first two breaks were entirely my fault but the other three breaks were ridiculous.

I finally out this on and it works great. I’ve got a couple winters worth of experience plowing so I’m hopefully this line will continue to work perfectly.

Worth every penny so far.

tatonkaman: The above part of the review asked me to rate stretch. I gave it 5 stars, as it does not, and should not, stretch. It is a winch, not a snatch strap! I replaced the smaller gage rope on my 4k warn winch, as it constantly broke, especially when using my plow! So far, no brakes and I'm happy. It is now about 7' too long for my winch drum. It will all fit, but then its tight. In my experience, a bumper location for the end of your winch rope, is a poor location. It entails getting out and into the worst of it, maybe digging away mud, or going under water. My fix is to attach the end on my rope to my roof rack, that will hopefully never be under water or mud!! So the extra thickness does not affect my drum space most of the time, only when using my plow...
