I have had this blender for almost 2 years now. This is seriously an amazing blender, absolute 10 out of 10. It makes amazing smoothies! I really struggle with sensory issues and the idea of drinking a smoothie that isn’t super cold & icy is just gross to me personally. This blender accomplishes the perfect, icy smoothie - think Starbucks Frappuccino. And the blades don’t seem to be wearing down at all over time! I’ve used it at least 1-3x a week since I got it and it’s still doing as well as when I first bought it 3 years ago. Chops ice, perfectly blends ice, frozen fruit, you name it. Having a blender this good has helped me a lot to eat healthier.

I usually use the ice chop setting first to grind up my frozen fruit. Then I change it to level 3 to blend for 5 minutes or so and it’s perfect. If it gets caught up on the blades and stops blending, I know that it just needs a little more liquid - I use water, milk, or cranberry juice. I highly recommend this blender! When mine finally...

Aiden Drake: This blender feels like it is built to last. I noticed some of the other reviews noted that it wasn't good for smoothies but I haven't had any problems - it can split up frozen fruit just fine.

KcSolaris: This blender is the best I’ve ever had. Being on a fixed income, I never expected such quality at a reasonable price. But of course! It’s a KitchenAid!
It’s footprint on your counter is only approximately 7“ x 6“. It’s not so light that it bounces all over your counter. It’s very stable. The container is a well made, not heavy like glass, but not cheap plastic, easily broken.
It’s quiet! How is that possible? A low rumble. Grinding ice is a bit noisier, but that takes literally seconds.
Use just seven cubes at the time, as the manual suggests. It comes out just like snow!
The top is soft and pliable, with a twist and lock opening to add ingredients. The top fits perfectly, so that you can even store in the fridge and not worry about spills.
48 ounces is perfect for a small family, or a single person.
I love that it doesn’t have a gasket that you have to replace, or that gets ground up in your smoothie.

- relatively quiet compared to other blenders. MUCH more quiet than my Nutribullet
- feels sturdy and durable
- dishwasher safe, easy to clean
- easy to use

Those were all the things that were important to me in this purchase, and so I'm really happy with it. I would buy it again.

janellee: I needed to go with a refurbished blender due to lack of funds. This one does not disappoint. I had a heavier duty Kitchenaid blender prior that I gave to my son. I truly desired a glass pitcher, BUT this one is SO much lighter and easier on my old, arthritic hands. It cleans easy and literally will blend a smoothie with ice in less than 1 minute. I couldn't be happier with the quality and the price.
