Ted S.Ted S.: The lock combination is defective: the three wheels do not turn independently, which results in a combination that does not work. To get the key back, it took me all of four swings of a hammer to break it open, suggesting that it is far from theft-proof.

Heather: Small but sturdy. Strong magnet. The tumblers (number wheels) are plastic, so a little lighter than a regular lockbox, but seem sturdy enough.

sylvie.c43: Je l'ai acheté pour mettre à l'intérieur pour mettre une clé d'un coffre à médicament et c'est parfait. Pas certaine que j'utiliserais ce modèle à l'extérieur. Je recommande donc de l'utiliser à l'intérieur.

John Waters: Ok, is this going to stop someone from accessing its contents if they are committed to the task? No. Its plastic, it's not intended to secure your gold rings. The idea is that if someone was able to find the box, it would slow them down from getting to the key. They're likely in a hurry, so this just may spur them to move on to another house or car. The magnet is legit, this just saved me a lot of trouble, locked my keys in the car in a remote location. Would have been a major pain to have a key brought to me. I went to the location I had my spare secured in this little lock box, admit was right where I had left it. Combination worked and I was able to get in the car. Very pleased with this purchase. Just understand what it is, and what it isn't!

K. R.: I bought this hide-a-key device to replace the old Altoids candy tin that I had been hiding a key in. This new case is approximately the same size and shape of that old candy tin - so it fits pretty well where I hide it. The plastic case is a step up security-wise from what I was using before, but not by much (which isn't really an issue, the hiding spot is more important than how secure the case is - IMO).

This case is secured with a three number combination setting, which you can set (comes set to 000). Setting the new combination is easy - remembering what you set it to is hard (hint on mine - my street address is three numbers.) Once set you can always change it again later. The one complaint I have with this device is how hard the number dials are to rotate, maybe it's just that I fat fingers - but they are a bit tough to get into position.

Like I mentioned the case is about the size of a Altoids tin, and when unlocked the end cap on one side pulls out and swings out of position so that you can either insert or remove a key from the interior of the case.
