Love having the remote feature to unlock and lock the doors it also brings back the stick Toyota alarm, window roll down is convinent if you got groceries and what not 💯5/5 stars

Amazon Customer: It came with battery installed as claimed. I followed the YouTube video for programming my car, Toyota Sequoia,2005. Worked perfectly and now I have a remote for the primary and spare key. Also lowers the rear window.

Kaffy: Programming wasn't terribly difficult but the problems are:
- drains brand new batteries within a couple of days
- sets off alarm and unable to shut off alarm with remote because the batteries are drained, I had it go off at midnight twice!
- rear window button did not work

Tested on two different 4Runners - same issues.

TM: I bought a pair of these for a 2006 Toyota 4runner. I've gone in to the programming mode, erased all existing fobs, and programmed from scratch. The OEM fob programs with no issues (single cycle of the locks). No matter how many times I try, the replacement set won't program (double cycle of the locks). I've tried changing the duration of the presses with no change. It's clearly recognizing the button presses, but just won't program. The code matches - HYQ12BBX is the FCC ID from the original fob and the ID from the Amazon listing for the replacements.

Paul N: Very Satisfied! The two fobs came quickly and with instructions that matched what I had read on the Internet.

The secret to programming them is patience and persistence. The crucial step is getting your vehicle in 'programming mode'. This take patience and trial and error. - the timing of these steps is critical. You can't do the steps too fast or too slow. It took me at least 8 times before I got the car in 'programming mode'. If you have trouble doing this, you will just need to try different paces of doing each of the steps.

Once I got the car into programming mode, getting the car to recognize the fob and program it was relatively easy. Again, timing is crucial but at least you don't have to go back and put the car into 'programming mode' again. You just need to keep doing the fob programming steps until the car accepts it.

In my case I got one fob programmed but then forgot to program the second. Again, it took me a while to get the car back into programming mode but it was easier for me the second time as I understood the pace I needed.

In the end I got both fobs programmed and they work beautifully.
