The KES Brass Shower Arm Diverter Valve is the perfect replacement component for your universal bathroom shower system. This valve is made with a brass body for maximum durability and performance, and features a ceramic disc for easy operation. The chrome finish helps to protect against corrosion and scratches, making it one of the best bathtub and shower diverter valves on the market. With its build quality, sturdiness, overall satisfaction, and value for money, the KES Brass Shower Arm Diverter Valve (PV14-CH) is the ideal choice for both handheld and fixed shower heads.Grunt: Bought this showerhead diverter to replace an expensive push-button model I purchased at a reputable plumbing supply store. It worked fine but the pushing and pulling on the on-off knob seemed to put too much pressure on the shower arm (supply line coming out of the wall). I figured it had lasted ten years but, the design and amount of force it took to actuate either the showerhead and wand was taking a toll on the joint behind the wall. Also and mainly the fact that there was no easy way to visually know which head was going to spray by looking at the valve knob. My wife uses the rainfall head and I use the wand. Needless to say when she turned on the shower she would be blasted by the wand and vice-versa if either one forgot to switch settings. It is simple with the large lever to determine the setting of either device. Pointing up is mine and pointing down is hers. Pure harmony. The valve glides smoothly and precisely with little pressure on the shower arm. I easily removed the little baffle in the valve prior to installing it and the pressure is optimal. The only suggestion I can add to the instructions is to properly seat the supplied gaskets and use a generous amount of...

Elijah StephensElijah Stephens: This is one of the few items in the retail market today where you seem to get more than what you pay for. This is a solid and very well made diverter valve. A valve of the same quality from a company like delta would cost you 4 times as much as this one. I used the valve in my parents master bathroom in order to install a dual shower head setup. It works great. No leaking. Made of quality brass and much cheaper than the same quality item in other brands. The diverter allows you to switch between the main shower head, hand shower, or both at the same time.
My only gripe about this diverter is that they should produce a configuration with 2 female threaded ends as it would defeat the need for a 1/2 female coupler, but that isnt a big deal. definately not enough to take a start off a product at such a price that the quality well exceeds the price tag. If you are going to install the diverter to the existing arm coming from the wall and attach your shower head directly to the male threaded in then you will have no need for a coupler. I did not want to use it in that manner though for 2 reasons. First because if you use a large shower head such as an 8 inch or bigger rainfall...

Kindle CustomerKindle Customer: I didn't see any reviews on using this for water pressure regulation, so I wanted to give my feedback. I have very high water pressure in my apartment. I like to use a water softener that attaches directly to the shower head, but with high water pressure that can cause knocking in the pipes. I found this extremely affordable and sturdy diverter valve on Amazon and after the reviews gave it a try. IT WORKED LIKE A CHARM.
If you look at the pictures I attached, you can see my setup. I attached the diverter directly to the shower pipe coming from the wall. I then attached a hand-held shower head holder (which I also found on Amazon) to the diverter on the front end. On the bottom of the diverter I attached a tube that runs to the bottom of the shower. On the hand-held shower head holder I attached a tube that runs to the water softener. Once I had everything set up, I turned the arm on the diverter to the right until I had about 70% of the water running through the softener and the other 30% running to the bottom of the shower. This successfully reduced my water pressure, doesn't make the pipes rattle, no leaks and I still have enough pressure coming out of the softener to...
