DeborahDarling: I bought these to add some piquant crunch to salads. I should have paid more attention to the description! The flavor IS bright and pleasing, without the sugary overlay you can get with dried cranberries. But...these are freeze dried and although they are pleasingly plump - they’re hollow inside and kind of collapse when chewed...into a sort of gummy mass. I’m thinking that the crisp crunch I’m looking for would be more pronounced if these were berry chips rather than whole berries. Over -all...the taste is great...I’m thinking I should have known how this would work out when plopped onto salad.

Cla1re: I got these to put in frosting, as freeze-dried fruit is not easy to find in my local stores. They're slightly pricier than getting anything similar in stores, but for the sake of convenience this is a fairly decent deal. I really like that it has no preservatives or anything else, and although I've never cared for eating freeze dried fruit, my daughter has been eating them since babyhood & loves it. There was a bit of powder in the bottom of the bag, but since I intended to pulverize them anyway that was just an added bonus, or it would've gone great in my smoothies. I mainly use it in baking, and the flavor is fantastic-- I made a strawberry frosting with these & everyone commented on how fresh the berry flavor was. I'm quite pleased with this and will probably be stocking up on other berries in this brand for a variety in flavor & colors. It's the only way I incorporate fruit in frosting now, as it's so much easier than having to boil down fruit or deal with frosting being too liquid, etc.-- not to mention that it's a great way to color your food naturally.

roadrunner: I am impressed with this product. I am a terrible stress eater, and can go through chips or candy very fast when anxious. This product arrived today. I find the texture interesting. It is similar to a crunchy popcorn like caramel corn. You have to chew these a little bit so they will rehydrate before you can swallow. This gives me a crunch that I like, and it really slows down consumption, yet it is chewy. I like the texture. The taste is very tart and the cherry flavor comes through. Sometimes when I stress eat, I want a particular flavor, often something sour/tart. So, this is going to be a wonderful product for me. A tart, but tasty flavor, a good crunch, and it slows down consumption. It is the perfect snack, and the PERFECT diet food. I would probably keep an eye on small children eating this as it is a little hard to swallow if you don't give it time to rehydrate. I

K.O.: Excellent freeze dried pineapple dices. Sweet and crunchy with a bit of zing. They are the perfect size, shape, and texture for my one year old daughter (who only has 2 teeth) to snack on. Small enough not to be a choking hazard, but big enough for her to pick up to finger feed herself. They are crunchy without being hard, so she can chew them even without teeth. I would definitely recommend them for babies old enough to be successfully eating finger foods such as cheerios. She loves them, I love them, our whole family loves them. They are healthy (100% pineapple, nothing else) delicious, and convenient (we bring them out with us for snacks on the go), what more could you ask for?
