CindyOhCindy: I was spending spending God knows how much on bottled elderberry syrup - I did a search and lo & behold, it’s just about the easiest thing to make. I bought these berries and found them to be high quality (I didn’t realize until recently, when I bought some from a well known company and they were loaded with twigs and green berries, that there is a huge disparity in quality between different brands). I simmer a cup of berries with 4 cups of water (sometimes I add a cinnamon stick and a chunk of ginger)about an hour or until reduced to around half the volume, strain and sweeten with honey.

Charity Collins: I've ordered dried elderberries from other companies and these are by far the best. They have very few if any stems, they are of the highest quality and come from a reputable business. I use the berries to make elderberry syrup.
