G. Hungerford: I don't know if I simply received an improperly balanced bag or if Mariani has changed the mix, which I've used, for many years. This bag was heavy on the prunes, constituting about 50% of the contents, plus dried apples, very dried, tiny apricots, a few dried pears and one or two dried peaches making up the balance.

Zanzibar: I ordered 2 different packages in quick succession. The latest package had an entire year to go before its expiration date and what an improvement that made. Sorry, I didn't take notice of the earlier package's expiration but all I can say is that the improvement in the fresh pack was so much better in taste I am never going to order these again unless I get a sworn statement that what I am ordering is fresh.
