John Mickel: When my order arrived, I set it aside for a few days. Upon unpacking it, I discovered that 9 out of the 12 cans were seriously dented. I checked them over carefully, examined the packaging, and tried to confirm that none of them had a leak. They seem to be damned fine cans since none of them appear to have a leak. Even after almost a week sitting in a warm room, none seemed to expand or showed any sign of leakage. The packaging was fine but the box the cans came in initially was split open. Anyway, I'm keeping them as they seem fine.

pj: The product is fine...this is about buying items in cans. I have always gotten well packed items from Amazon, until today. There was only one small piece of pillow packing material (although completely flat -- no air in it) for the items I bought (Chaokoh Coconut Milk and Kame Straw Mushrooms and an oven thermometer). The cans were just tossed in and they all were dented, except for two (I received 10 cans) and another smaller item (oven thermometer) was tossed in, as well. The base/stand of the thermometer was bent from being tossed around in the box, which was too big for the items, and again, without packing materials.

Lkniss: We use these in Tom Yum. They are a perfect addition, the texture and flavor are quite nice as the broth cooks into the mushrooms.

MadMax: I can't find these in the stores and this brand seems to be just fine. Have used them in several dishes so far without any problems.
