Jeeper231: These boots seem well made. I went with a 9 even though I could have probably sized down to an 8. I typically wear 8.5-9 in shoes. I wanted the extra space for thick socks in winter. So far I love them. If you’re inbetween sizes, sizing up .5 inch isn’t a deal breaker, it just makes them a bit roomier. I’d rather have them a little big then a little too snug.
Also I have larger calves so I was worried these wouldn’t fit but they went on fine and have some room to spare! I wanted a taller boot for splashes and puddles.

Dancingwater: Sturdy. Instep snug, making it challenging for someone with a strong foot & high instep to get them on & off. Can't wear thick winter socks. I like them, otherwise. But it was a pain in the butt purchase due to failure to deliver on the original order of the same boots, a week earlier.
11/08/2023 added note: I had ordered the same boot a week before, around about 06/01/2023. After the original order was submitted I received a cryptic, "undeliverable" message from Amazon stating that the boots could not be delivered for one of the following reasons: having been damaged in transit; carrier could not find address; or package refused by recipient. By process of elimination it had to have been "damaged in transit". That occurred 5 months and 1 week ago. I have just received a refund that was due 5 months ago!

Wendy H: This is the third pair of Joules boots I have purchased and I love them. Between yardwork and irrigation, I use the crap out of them and they are cute to boot. One of my very favorite things about this brand are the adorable and sturdy boxes they come in. I use them to store ribbon and such, so I was SO, so, so sad that the box they came had tape residue all over it at was totally banged and torn up making it unusable. I am assuming it is because they were returned previously. The boots look ok though. I was tempted to take a star because of the box, but realized that would be totally unfair because the boots are seriously great. But the box though.... :(
