Sandra McElroy Crimson Rose Antiques: I've ordered these boots before and I use them in the snow in the winter. They do the job and keep the moisture out but they are a bit hard to get on and off. They are really meant as a one or two season boot.

Esper: Love these! I highly recommend them for home maintenance or garden care. I've stepped on multiple nails outside and not even realized it thanks to the thick soles, whereas other shoes were not as protective... The main material was also tough enough to keep a long, sharp broken piece of stump from puncturing my foot worse than what it did; got a tetanus shot at the ER and was only 3 or 4 minutes late to work. Had that happened in my usual $5 cheap sneakers, I'd be looking at a REALLY bad infection. As far as water resistance, they do the job until it reaches the stretchy part of the ankle. To be expected, so not an issue. My feet are very wide, and these are comfortable on a concrete floor for up to about 6 hours, maybe 9 or 10 if you add some comfy inserts. If there were a knee-high version of these, they'd be in my cart ASAP.
