Amazon Customer: I always had a problem, particularly with roast beef, with juices running off the board and all over the place. This prevents that issue. The edges are rubberized so it stays in place. Not a huge fan of the material the board is made of. Very hard plastic; usually cutting boards give a little bit. This is like a formica countertop. The little spikes keep the meat in place, but be careful when cleaning them...you can lose some skin off your knuckles.

LA MIA ESPERIENZA
Appena comprato l'ho provato con un picanha intera cotta al sangue e nonostante la perdita di liquidi abbastanza consistente grazie al design ottimamente progettato neanche una goccia è finita su tavolo, né durante il taglio, né durante lo spostamento al lavello. Tra l'altro (MOLTO IMORTANTE) la pendenza del pianto facendo scolare il siero in tempo reale col taglio, aiuta anche a fare un lavoro più pulito e a non servire fette gocciolanti. Inoltre gli spuntoni messi per fermare la carne sono molto efficaci (e molto appuntiti, attenzione!). Il peso importante (per essere un tagliere) e il bordo gommato hanno fatto sì che durante il taglio non si sia spostato di un millimetro.

DIMENSIONI
Le dimensioni sono molto generose, potrete affettare tranquillamente anche i pezzi più grandi, anche lo spessore è piuttosto pronunciato, ma proprio questo consente di raccogliere molto liquido

PREZZO
la quinta stella non la metto perché 22€ sono esagerati, ma è l'unico tagliere...

PJ: A slanted or sloped board like this is THE way to carve meats or anything else juicy. This design in wood is traditionally called a trencher board. I have a 50 year old maple trencher board designed on a slant; all the meat or poultry juices go down into the "well" at the bottom of the slant, for easy-no-spill scooping or pouring. Sadly, after decades, the board cracked across the middle. I think someone who knew what s/he was doing could glue and clamp it - but that's not me.

We bought several of the more standard carving boards with channels around the edges, a "tree" in the middle, and a well at the end - none of them holds enough liquid, and some of them cracked and leaked right away.

Then we bought a very nice large (think BIG turkey, ham, or roast) somewhat-expensive replacement for the original, in solid cherry, made in New England, and it's perfect.

We got this Joseph Joseph Cut & Carve Multi-function board because it's a bit smaller than the large Cherry wood one, and we can whip it out when cutting or carving something juicy that doesn't require the size of the Cherry board, and then, unlike the Cherry board, stick it in the dishwasher. Eugene&Vera: Absolutely love the tilted feature of this cutting board. I always have a problem with all of my cutting boards when I cut tomatoes. The juice always overflows, even though I use those cutting boards with the "juice grooves."

Only thing: it takes a bit of time to get used to the whole tilted feature. It's unusual. Super convenient but feels a bit weird the first couple of times you use it. Because no other cutting board I've used did this, so it's strange. But I got used to it after like 2-3 times of using it. And it's awesome. I ABSOLUTELY HATE getting tomato juice on my counter. It's just so irritating.

Anyway, I going to order multiple to gift to my mom, mother-in-law, and grandma. (Maybe some friends and others as well)

Considering it's dishwasher safe, I'm probably going to purchase another one to use when the other is dirty. I'm still considering it.

Seriously, buy it- if you don't like it (unlikely), you can always return it. But I guarantee that you won't.

David: I bought this for the grippy spikes to hold steak when I slice it. Unfortunately, my knife just cuts up those spikes and they get in the way of me making thin slices...the spacing of the spikes necessitates me making thicker slices (not conducive for sammich making) or I end up shaving the plastic of the spikes. So I end up never using the grippy spike side.... I suppose it would be great for larger pieces of meat, such as hams and turkeys. But I'm single and rarely make more than a pound of steak. The saving grace of this cutting board (and its a big one) is that odd angle both sides have...so it captures the juices and run off of the cut meat! I hadn't realized how beneficial this feature would be. Its highly under-rated! You don't have to clean your counter afterwards! AND, you can take the juice and add it to your gravy! So, miss and a hit for me. If you want something to cut larger roasts and such on, those spikes will probably server you well.
