Extra-Large Bamboo Cutting Board for Kitchen with Juice Groove and Non-Slip Feet

G.C.: Cutting board is quality and thick. Have had for about 2 years and it's my favorite cutting board. The drip groove is nice to try and keep liquids contained but it could be deeper. If you roast a turkey (or chicken) and put it on to be carved you have to make sure to drain the bird into the roasting pan. The groove can handle a little juice from carving, but it frequently overflows onto the counter there's just too much from roasted birds I guess. My only complaint is I wish the groove was deeper to contain more juices. Otherwise love this cutting board

Debbie Schmidt: I just got this yesterday, and have used it at least 3x already and really love it! I first oiled it with coconut oil, let it set a few hours… it feels sooo smooth. It repels moisture very well, and so easy to clean. I will definitely buy another one of these when I’m ready for another size! Great product, for sure! 👍🏼

Amazon Customer: I'm reviewing this extra large cutting board immediately after receipt. So far, so good! The cutting board arrived with no splinters or chipped wood, as some past pics revealed. All edges were properly sealed with no gaps between the layers of bamboo. As advised, I applied food grade mineral oil to both sides and let sit 24 hours in a plastic bag before use. At the same time, I applied the mineral oil to a much smaller, older cutting board that was already splintering because I let it get too dry. The smaller board turned a different color (no big deal), but the new cutting board remained the same color as when it arrived. YAY! After reading the directions, I know NOT to let it soak in water for any length of time, hand wash only and immediately dry - never put in the dishwasher. I also love the two tone color of the board. I saw some pics where the light colored ends broke away from the main board, but I wonder if correct directions were not followed in the care? I'm thrilled with this board and would purchase again. However, after repeated use and with proper care, if that happens to me then a follow-up review will be forthcoming. At the moment, I highly recommend this cutting...

Dawn Marie: I wanted to cutting board to cover my sink to keep my cat from trying to put his paw in the garbage disposal on, my fear was that he would somehow I accidentally turn it on and I tried covering it with a Plastic tub but he kept pushing it over the cutting board is perfect for what I wanted and I can use it to cut my vegetables as well and it covers up the sink and I don’t have to worry about him trying to get in there. I am definitely surprised by the quality for such an expensive item and I’m very pleased and we consider giving it as a gift and future should I need to purchase another. It also came with instructions on how to care for your cutting board which I didn’t know I needed to care for it so it was nice to be able to see that you plastic tub but he kept pushing it over the cutting board is perfect for what I wanted and I can use it to cut my vegetables as well and it covers up the sink and I don’t have to worry about him trying to get in there. LaurenTLaurenT: When the bamboo cutting board I’d used for over a decade finally developed a crack, I went looking for a replacement that’s also quite large, as this one is.

Initially, I thought I might like a board with incorporated, self-storing plastic cutting mats.

But then I realized that the structural integrity of such a cutting board system would have to be diminished significantly, given that in order the store the plastic mats, a large hole is cut through its center. I can’t imagine that would extend the life of the product. Plus, I already have plastic cutting mats which I use atop this board when I’m working with meats or poultry.

Next, I considered purchasing a cutting board with an incorporated “food catcher” (which I must admit rather reminded me of a dustpan). Instead, I find it just as easy to place a stainless steel bowl in the sink, and extend the cutting board so that it overhangs the bowl as I prep ingredients. This cutting board is large enough that I don’t miss the few inches of overhang devoted to my make-do workaround.
