Instruction booklet needs to be improved. Putting the bed together was not that difficult, if you’re able to “think” your way through. Middle aged female, took me about 2 hours to complete. Very happy with the bed.
Now to purchase foam bed leg covers so I don’t break a toe… ouch!

I have had a huge, heavy wooden bed frame for the last 20+ years. It was finally time to get rid of it and upgrade to something more modern. I have been wanting a simple platform bed for a long time and finally chose this one after reading many reviews on different beds. I'm 48 years old and female, and the hardest part for me was lugging this heavy (60+lb?) box up my stairs and to the 2nd floor. I could have taken the pieces out and brought them up separately but didn't want to do that. After I brought it upstairs and set it down on my floor, I opened the box to start putting it together. It was very well packaged. All the pieces were clearly marked and the directions were fairly easy to understand. I did make a couple of mistakes - both times I had the pieces backwards, so be sure all your fittings are only seen from the inside of the frame and not the outside. They gave you the only tools you need - an allen wrench and a separate little wrench that you only need for 2 screws. The directions do state they recommend power tools for ease of putting together, but I didn't have the drill with an allen wrench fitting, so I did everything by hand. I...

The box itself is heavy, so I felt bad for my mail carrier. With that said it’s a great deal for the price. Once I got it in the house I was able to set it up very quickly. I felt like the instructions were pretty easy to read, but I usually like putting furniture together. It’s metal and feels really sturdy, but isn’t so heavy that I couldn’t carry the pieces to put it together alone. It also looks great!!
