You can’t beat these for the price. I took them on a 3 day backcountry skiing trip to Idaho, and they held up against all of my friend’s brand name poles that cost upwards a of $200. I wish that the snow baskets were a little stiffer, but other than that I have no complaints! If you are on a budget, these poles are a solid option.

Anon7: Well worth the money on just my first day of hiking, helping save my knees and ankles for the rest of the trip. Made up & downhill easier and safer. More stable/less chance of falling, less strain. Good features including lower grip for hills, handy bag. Nice height if you are between sizes...though I didn't do much adjusting once it was set, I just grabbed he handles in different places for up/down hill. I recommend watching proper usage videos.
A few small negatives that were easily fixed for the price... Cork handle was a bit on the rough side, so I rubbed it with wax paper & it was ok. Wrist straps poked a bit near the seam melt, but I can fix that. Had to flip one strap to the correct direction. Tip: Pull out before pressing button to collapse. It will be easier to push.
May get another as a gift.

Joe P.: Sturdy, reliable and easy to use. First time you use it, you fumble with it a bit until you understand the way they work. After that, they are easy to use.
We bought them so we would have poles that we could fit in carry-on bags but later learned that hiking poles cannot be brough into aircraft cabins. It is our fault for not checking this out earlier and not the fault of the poles. They will be useful when we travel with checked luggage. Meanwhile, we will use them on local hikes - they are strong and lightweight.

Dustin: These were almost perfect (for the price at least), but sadly, I'll likely be returning them due to one small oversight. The straps... They have a piece of neoprene sewn in on the backside I assume to add comfort, but unfortunately the piece they added is not long enough, and the end of this has stitching that lines up right on the bottom of your hand and side of your thumb, and rubs ever so slightly. If you look at almost any other brand, they have a plain strap on the inside, like a ski pole would have. That small change would have made these a keeper. Other the that, some small issues like visible glue between the two handle sections, the cork not quite cut flush with the plastic topper, and some chips in the red anodized lever.

mbd: They were a bit fussy to open up and lock in place but once I did I just leave them locked in the extended position and leave them in my car. They have been very useful on hikes. I find they really do make a difference. My physiotherapist had recommended I get a pair and I'm glad I did. I can go for much longer before getting hip/knee pain. I'm 5'2" and have them at pretty much the shortest position.

kylenetkyle: I bought these to serve double duty as regular hiking poles and also as tent poles for a lightweight backpacking tent. For hiking, I mostly only planned on using them for creek crossings, but now I am a hiking pole convert and love using them for powering up uphill sections. They aren't the lightest, but they are stiff and can support my weight without buckling.
My only gripe is that the length adjustment buckle (quick release) is on the same side of the poles. It would be better if it was mirrored (on the outside of the poles to prevent snagging) although it does not affect the performance of the poles.

Discerning buyer: The poles are great! The BIG problem is the directions on how to raise/ stablize them from the collapsed position they come in... not straight forward at all .. took three intelligent people to figure it out! Once put together they are great!

stephanie: I originally got another brand of these type of poles, and theye seemed fine until I actually needed them, at whcih point the snow baskets broke off in a very scary steep place. So then I got these poles. They so far have held up nicely. I will put them to a harder test next time we have a deep snowfall, but I did find a few snowdrifts to test them on, and they were fine. They assemble easily, and if you use the adjustable tabs correctly, they hold quite firmly. I am 5'9", and i would have liked them slightly longer for going (skiing with skins) up certain hills, but basically they are just fine. a nice weight, and certainly a very nice price.

D. Schultz: These were a great buy in 2022 at $30. They collapse small enough to fit into my day pack, which my previous poles did not. They have a clever assembly technique, which actually stumped me a couple times when I hadn't used the poles in a long time. The rubber tips seem more durable than my previous poles, also.
