JoeShade Portable Sun Protection Umbrella

Philll: I’ve contemplated on buying a portable umbrella shade to use at both my kids’ sports games. I use to take the canopy but lately have only needed something for myself. I finally gave in. It is so easy to use, and the carrying case makes it easy to take with you. I regret not buying it sooner but better late than never! Lastly, their customer service is SUPERB!!! I emailed them about an issue I was having and Dave got back to me the same day! That is very hard to come across these days.

B. A.: We got this for the soccer sidelines. It offers a decent amount of shade, is easy to assemble and take down and is lighter than i expected. If the winds pick up i have to hold it down but it comes with a good size support stand and adding weight or sand bags would hold it down on those really windy days.

Amazon Customer: Finally had to get one for myself after experiencing how easy it was to set up and move around, and the wonderful shade it provided at soccer and baseball games! A must have for kid sports!! The stakes to hold it into the ground are wonderful and necessary for even mildly windy days, but work quite well. A friend had this and another had a wondershade, which is a little cheaper, but the material of the umbrella seems thicker and more durable on this one than the wondershade one. Would definitely recommend this over others for its durability, ease of set-up and portability!

C.P.: So I have two of these now. I bought a red one a few years back and started taking it to all my son's baseball and soccer games. i absolutely LOVE the portability of this thing. We ended up taking it with us to our pool club because we were racing there in the morning to get a seat under the umbrellas and it was a pain in the butt all the time when no seats were left under shade...now, we don't need to worry about that. We bring our own shade. Every single time I have it out, someone asks me about it. I have even had people scoot their chairs up to me and ask if they could share my shade. lol get your own!! Believe it or not, that has happened to me several times. These things really do last pretty long too. I agree with the other reviewers that the bag is cheaply made. the strap broke on my first umbrella bag but I took my sewing needle out and stitched it back on nice an solidly and it is better than when I received it now.

T. Leon: I ordered this sunshade for us to enjoy the fall soccer season here in FL and keep the sun off of us. It arrived in a very timely manner and in it's carry case. Once I took the sunshade out of the carry case as it comes in 2 pieces (the stand part and the umbrella part), I could not fit it back int the case! I was frustrated as you can imagine, and wrote immediately to Amazon to express my displeasure. It was a Friday evening and my phone rang with a number I did not recognize from IL. It was the President of JoeShade himself (Dave Shober) calling me to inquire/trouble shoot about my displeasure with the case that accompanied the shade. He listened to my complaint about the case and immediately told me that there had been issues with some of the cases being too small for the SunShades to fit into (without an absolute struggle) and that he was going to send me a new case to correct the problem. I was so impressed that he would call me on a Friday evening to rectify the situation. True to his word, a new case arrived in the mail a short time later, proper size and the SunShade fits perfectly in it, without a struggle.
