susana: Wooden poles in closet was sanded but to preserve & keep away possibility of splinters; it's a good idea to cover with this heavy duty plastic. It also makes moving hangers easier.

Amazon Customer: The plastic clothing rod cover tubing is easily cuttable and installable and is a terrific way to enable clothing hangers to slide along the rod. However, both sizes on separate Amazon orders arrived creased in the middle because they were not packed and shipped in long enough cartons. The packer slightly bent the plastic tubing to fit into the shipping cartons used. This causes the hangers to slightly stall when they slide along the rods. This is a bit annoying, but not worth replacing them.
