kapiteinterzee: We love Indian cooking [BTW, we're not of Indian roots] and the taste, aroma and healthy preparation of the food is paramount for us. We purchased the Jansal Valley Fenugreek Leaves because without them the recipes will not be as aromatic and flavorful as they should be! In this area of the country - Sun Coast of Florida - these herbs and a few others are hard to get. We were surprised at the freshness of the leaves and speed that the order was delivered! Margie: I'm not an expert, being the first time I've tried this. First of all, I was grateful to find it on Amazon because I could not find it in any of the local (and not so local) stores for a Persian recipe I wanted to try. Secondly and most importantly, I love the scent and the flavor of this spice. Having left Los Angeles for a small town in the Pacific Northwest, Persian food is the only thing I've missed about Los Angeles (well, almost only) . I can't attest to the value, since I'd never purchased it before, but the smell and the flavor reminded me of the Persian restaurants we used to frequent in Los Angeles. That in itself made it worthwhile for me.

Nancy G: Bought this one over others advertised for Funugreek leaves due to a friends recommendation. While it wasn't the cheapest out there I was very pleased. Nicely packaged. Came quickly. Could tell the product was fresh because as soon I opened the mailing envelope I could smell the product even thought the jar was properly sealed. Used it that night in an Indian meal I was making and it was perfect, the flavor came through wonderfully in the meal. Would recommend.

Athena PN: Product quality is very high; the leaves are obviously packaged very quickly after drying as they have a lot of scent & flavor. There are some thin stems which, since I crush the leaves before using, isn't a particular problem. These days of mechanized packing you just can't get away from some stems. The tin packaging is also very nice, giving easy access to the contents while retaining a good air barrier for storage (unlike a lot of plastic-bagged herbs & spices commonly available).
If you haven't used kasoori methi (fenugreek leaves) in cooking before & are working from a reputable recipe, you can be confident that using Jansal Valley in the proportions stated in your recipe will give the desired result, unlike some other vendors where the herbs are not as good.
