megan walden-schertz: As a Kings fan this was a slightly depressing read but the breadth of sourced stories and near history of bad franchises was entirely engaging and a great read .

Caesario Davis: Jake Fischer really did his research on this book, I’m only two chapters in and I feel absolutely hooked. I love a good book about the inside action of the NBA and knowledge about the things that we won’t see on ESPN or read from various writers. So this book about how tanking changed the NBA is really cool. Looking forward to more books from this amazing writer.

Drcheffrey: along the lines of "tanking to the top" buit tells a story of the whole NBA and how tanking is better than putting a winning product on the court. good read but us fans should boycott the sports world cause all leagues are tanking and we pay to watch losing teams. what fools we are

Adam MAdam M: Built to Lose will teach you something new on literally every single page. The author has clearly spoken with hundreds of NBA players, GMs, coaches, and more. This book uncovers stories that you won't find elsewhere, even as an avid NBA fan. An easy read that is hard to put down.
2013 was a pivotal year for the NBA, and this book places you in the mastermind behind it all - Sam Hinkie.

Daniel Julien: Heavy on the 76ers, I wish there was more about the transactions themselves but a nice easy read for sports fans.

JTC: Very good book. It reads like a page turner nonfiction book, like a Michael Lewis book. He talked to over 300 people in the NBA, players, coaches, general managers, owners, scouts, agents, etc. He covers something like 7 teams in detail. Obviously the 76ers, but also the Celtics, Lakers, Suns, Bucks, Magic, and Kings. Easy and fun read - recommended.
