seth: I really enjoyed reading this book, because it's relatable and very motivation. It highlights how determination and persistence is the key to attaining your goals or to overcome obstacles and challenges. In fact this proves that the only secret to success is hardwork.

Jessica: After suffering a severe high ankle sprain 6 months ago, I’m just working back up to being able to hike. I know I will never be the same and as tough as that is to accept, reading Peter’s story has been so inspirational and makes me hopeful that one day I will be back to hiking in the White Mountains. I highly recommend this book and am glad Peter took us along to his low points as well as the highs. I’m beginning to accept that I also need to constantly work at keeping my mobility and working to get stronger due to a dumb accident that put me in this position. Keeping moving and working at it is all I can do and keep looking forward. Great read!

Navy Vet: This book is not what I was expecting a book about hiking the AT to be. Peter's honest description of his life, personal decisions, triumphs and tribulations are to be commended and learned from. Thank you, Mr. Conti, for your honest description of your hike and life surrounding your hike.

Mr. D. O'GARA: Well written story about dealing with pain. Mr Conti engages the reader a draws you into his journey, hiking the Appalachian trail being fully fit is an achievement, doing it with a dodgy leg takes real courage. This is a real life story without any fancy embellishments, with a sprinkling of interesting Trail facts. Throughly enjoyed this.

Kindle Customer: Not the first hiking book I've read about the Appalachian Trail, but certainly the first I've read that's been written by someone with a physical ailment. I'm glad the author took so long to write the book because it tied up loose ends. I enjoyed the descriptions of places and people, and found the photos excellent at conveying the moments he was talking about.
