Business12/Chantilly VA: This is a great water proof camera, it takes pictures and video's under water up to 10 feet. The other plus is that it uses AAA batteries, so if you use super batteries you are good and won't have to change them as often. It doesn't float, so using the wrist band is a must. The flash is the killer on this camera, if you take a lot of pictures that require flash, this is not the camera for you, as it has to charge and drains the batteries doing so. This camera survives harsh environments like the beach with sand blowing into everything, it takes a licking, and keeps on clicking.

SE Birnur: Very poor quality of camera build. Looks, feels and operates like a toy camera.
1. Batteries last only for 9 to 10 pictures.
2. The screen hangs after taking a picture. Had to reset by opening and replacing the battery cover which is cumbersome in water and frustrating too.
3. Picture quality is really very poor.
Not recommended for purchase. Have now ordered Nikon AW130 Underwater Camera. Hope this one is good

After enduring a ton of blurry and unfocused images that our son would take with our cell phones, my wife and I decided to get him a camera of his own. The first one she got was a cheap piece of plastic that pretty much broke after it was dropped the first time. So I decided to get one that was sturdy, maybe even waterproof. And lo and behold, found this Ivation 20MP camera, for just a little bit more money than what my wife paid for the original one we had. I had my doubts, but it was cheap enough to take a risk on. I reviewed the pictures people posted and was impressed with the quality. It is a 20 megapixel camera, after all, albeit a point and shoot.
My son was the first to try it out, and of course, dropped it a few times.... but it kept working. We brought it on a trip to Disney where I got some pretty decent pictures with it. Nice and clear... even the pool pictures were quite good--just had to make sure you keep it very still.
So... Pro's: good quality pictures, up to 20mp( can also do 14...

Ken Kofoed: Decent photos and easily carried. Missed some nice shots as it aims from the far end with lens. My camera will not connect via cable to the USB of computer and I have complained online with no response for replacement. I can still pull the micro SD card, use adapter to connect and download, but not the ideal way. Battery life is short (even though the batteries still work in other applications) so get good ones and keep extras. Wish it would have an indicator to show it is turned on, since underwater activation leaves a weak image in cloudy water and deceiving.

Robin B.: I am so incredibly disappointed with this camera for multiple reasons.I purchased the camera for a month long trip to Guatemala. I was on a budget so I went with this camera, hoping that the bad reviews were just a few unlucky folks. Unfortunately, I had some similar problems to the ones others had

1. I put the batteries in and after taking about 10 pictures, they were dead (Brand new batteries). The second set of batteries died in the camera while it was turned off.

2. I took a few pictures in good lighting and found that I had to be pretty still to get a good clear pic. I found that in any kind of low lighting, you have to have the flash on and be perfectly still. (also, the flash DRAINS the battery really badly and it takes a long time for it to recharge)

3. I turned the camera on for the 2nd or 3rd time and the screen went fuzzy and I had to power it off and on a few times for it to work properly. This happened twice

4. When using the front view, it would not take pictures.

5. I purchased this camera on amazon before my trip, it arrived at my house a few days before I left (November 2nd and I left on November 5th)

Lisa Johnson: I wanted a waterproof camera to use on a vacation to Mexico. We knew we would snorkel and such so I wanted something cheaper we could use for that.

This camera turned out to be awesome for us. It is exactly what it says. We took many pictures above and below the water with this and nearly all turned out great.

Understanding a cameras limits on power, we did purchase lithium batteries for it as designed. We took 160 pictures (all in high sunlight so no flash was used) but we still had 3/4 left on the batteries. I never changed them out on our 10 day trip and still have plenty left. 

I have no problem opening the door, i just read the instructions. push the lock while sliding. Opened right up and we were set.

All in all, please let me say this this camera took our 10th anniversary pictures and these were the best of the bunch because we took them in and on the water where we could not take our other camera, and you cant tell the difference between the two when we look at them on the PC.
