Kitty: Classic story: Person needs waterproof camera to photograph kayaking trip. First two times using camera was good. Quality wasn’t the best, but good enough. My mom liked the photos! Unfortunately, the battery isn’t keeping its charge and now refuses to charge. Anyways, I’m hoping the memory chip has photos from my trip today. My mom was looking forward to seeing the photos.

Freefield: I was so disappointed in this underwater camera...and in so many ways. Despite my best efforts, trying many different approaches over about 8 or 9 snorkeling outings in two weeks, I mostly had poor results. I checked my photos every evening. Most were very on the yellow side. I tried with flash and without; no difference.

I could see hardly anything through the large rear viewfinder when I was underwater, even though I can see fine through the tiny viewfinder in my DSLR camera, so it's not my eyes. I had to point the camera in the direction of something and hope I got a usable photo . I use a digital single lens reflex camera, and I am technically very capable (I've rebuilt VW engines, done a bit of HTML, etc.), so I really don't think the issues are on my side.

Oh, and one more thing. The on/off button and the button to click to take a photo are next to each other, and hard to differentiate while holding the water and underwater. The buttons may look different, but when you are underwater and looking through the rear viewfinder, it's really easy for one to feel just like the other. Many, many times I turned off the camera when I intended to snap a photo. I've worked...

Jaustin: Battery life is really short in this camera. You can only use it to take a video and maybe 3 pictures and then it dies. After charging. To open the door to take it out is hard to open and seals tight like it should so I don't feel opening it up and removing the battery every time you use it would be the best for the camera. We are going to purchase another Battery to see if it is just this battery that is bad Before maybe returning. We purchased it for our 11 year granddaughter and she is having a hard time using it and she's had a digital camera since she was 5 and which still has.

Gad: I do not recommend this product to anyone.I bought it for a snorkeling vaca and couldn't use it. Cons: Very poor battery life especially if you use it under water. It lasted maybe 20 minutes on a 2 hour snorkeling and kayaking excursion. So I am so happy that I had my water proof Galaxy phone as back up or I would have not gotten any water pics. And what pics I did take were not best of quality. Pros: it is light weight and if you love taking selfies that was a great feature. But over all I would not put your money into this product. I returned it as soon as I got back from my trip🙁👎

Slater AutomotiveSlater Automotive: Pros:
Many reviews for this camera claim the 128gb micro-SD card doesn't work. A SanDisk Extreme Plus was installed and formatted using the camera software, as described in the owner's manual. Works fast and holds 8800 photos when resolution is set to 48mp.

Setup, menu, and all functions are easy to learn. The front 'selfie' screen is a GREAT idea!

Cons:
See the photo below. At 48mp, I should be able to zoom in and read every book title. Nope, not so much.
I've exhausted all the different settings; resolution, ISO, lighting adjustments, etc... and cannot get a photo superior to an old 6.4mp camera. Even at 48mp, the file size is around 8-10mb, equal to my 20mp camera that takes fantastic hi-rez photos. Shouldn't the file size be double for 48mp?

The 'flash light' is just that... a bright LED similar to a phone lamp. It is not a Xenon Flash Bulb as found in all my previous cameras going back to my 1978 Polaroid 1-Step. This severely limits flash photography.

Photo file names begin at DSCF0001 and count up. The problem is that once you move them to your PC, the numbers begin AGAIN with DSCF0001 and count up again! The camera doesn't care, but...
