A. Pauna: Very easy to install just need a piece of 3/8 inch id vinyl/PVC tube to go to a air gap or other type of sewer drain to dump sediment into drain. Also, would probably work with floor drain if it is possible to hold it on the cap somehow. Like plastic wire ties. Anyway been using for a few months now and no more sediment getting to my whole house filter upstream from this device.

We bought the iSpring sediment filter because we have been to parks where the water was gritty and we wanted to extend the life of our filtration system as well as our water system in our RV. MKMK: My application was to filter lake water at a cottage. I wasn’t sure which filter size to use, so I consulted Michele at iSpring Water Systems, LLC in Georgia. She recommended that I start with a 200/100 micron combo and observe the results. The 200 micron filter wasn’t capturing too much, so Michele was kind enough to ship me a 50 micron filter, so I’m running a 100/50 micron combo before going into a traditional 5 micron foam filter. It’s clearly going to last a lot longer because of these two new filters.
The hardware is of very high quality. Installation was relatively easy after spending some time in the plumbing section of a local hardware store. Being installed in a boathouse, it was easy to add a drain tubes for the filters, allowing for easy flushes right back into the lake.
When the day comes to replace my entire plumbing system, I’ll be taking a closer look at iSpring products. They’ve got wide variety of products that compliment each other and most importantly, they offer exceptional onshore support.
