JB: The metal pick is made with soft metal and it bends easily if you try picking stuck gravel out of a hold. I regularly have to straighten the pick with pliers between uses.

Blomsterbarnen: I have had this hoof pick for a few years now and it is holding up okay. The black rubber is breaking and falling off to reveal the plastic underneath, which to me is not a big deal, especially after owning it for so many years and having a lesson program. The brush is still intact and working, and the pick is just your average hoof pick.

Amazon Customer: Like some other reviewers, I bought this tool for cleaning my boot treads out. I work as a roofer so my boots treads get full of tar, glue, and other crud which badly affects the grip. This pick has done a great job clearing the accumulation from my boot treads. It is just the right size to fit into the treads, comfortable to hold, and the brush is useful for cleaning loose detritus so I don't track it off the roof. Highly recommend one of these for anyone who wears boots to work.
