I tried the cheap metal one from the dollar tree and she loves it. Funny. These are made well so going to donate and hope someone else has better luck with them.

Radar626: We have an older kitty who refuses with teeth and claws to let us groom his tummy area. He lets us rub his tummy, but the moment the brush comes out, so do the murder mittens. These grooming gloves are ninja-grade stealth for getting the extra fur off his tummy without losing a digit. Our other cats are big fans as well. The ball-tipped plastic pin style of gloves were loathed unanimously by all our cats and the dog, but these nubbies are gentler on their skin. They all will relax and stretch while groom them. Talk about an improvement over trying to sneak in a couple of passes with a brush any time they were distracted. The gloves are easy to clean and do a pretty decent job of keeping all the loose hair matted down between the nubs until you either peel off the hair mat or thump your hand over the trash can which causes the hair to shake loose on its own. Fit is comfy, too. The fingers are more like regular gloves (thinner, more fitting) which gives more control when grooming around sensitive areas like eyes. alrtx: Highly recommended! My cat asks to be brushed multiple times a day now!

He is 12 and getting a bit bony. He has short black hair and isn't a shedder, but he always enjoyed being furminated. No matter how careful I was, I could tell it hurt him at times.

Enter the Love Gloves. I did a lot of research and picked these for durability but also the varied nubs give me some nuance. He loves having his neck scratched with one hand while I use the finger nubs to rub his cheeks. Again he isn't a hair cat so most of what I'm getting off is the white undercoat. But that's probably good by him.

Quality wise, they seem durable. I've used them daily for a month now and can barely tell. I just clap my hands together and the hair floats out (we always use them outside). They fit our hands (average sized male and female hands) but I think larger men would not fit inside.

Chris R: After our dog was seriously injured by a groomer with a Fulminator we stopped taking them to groomers and started doing it ourselves. We do not use ANY metal grooming tools on our dogs because of the incident, so finding an effective solution to their shedding seasons has been difficult.
We bought these thinking they looked pretty lame to be honest, but we are super happy with them!
Because they are a glove its more comfortable for the dogs and us to groom. It does a really great job at removing all the dead hair. We have actually sent pairs to our friends in other states also.
The only downside is the hair kind of sticks to the gloves(they do suggest washing them to remove fur but we groom multiple times a day and don't want to wear soggy gloves), and the gloves are quite small for me, I cannot close the velcro strap which accumulates hair. My hands measure 9" from palm to middle finger.
