The Intex Challenger Kayak Inflatable Set with Aluminum Oars is the perfect choice for those looking for a high-quality fishing kayak. Its bright green color and sporty graphics make it highly visible in the water, while its streamlined design offers easy paddling. It also comes with an Intex high output pump that makes inflation and deflation a breeze. With its superior design, overall satisfaction, quality of material, and size, this kayak is sure to meet all your needs. Max D: After an hour out on the lake with 2 of these, I have to say it was a great experience. For the price (2 of these combined are cheaper then a cheap solid kayak), it seems like a no-brainer. They are very light - when still in the bag, I can easily carry one in each hand, and even carry both in the same hand (though that tested my grip strength, I couldn't do it over a long distance).
They very easily inflated using the included pump. Once out on the water, you don't feel like you are moving very fast, but then you can look and realize you have covered a rather large distance. I never once felt unstable or likely to tip. There were large boats making occasional waves on the lake while I was out, and those waves can make it more difficult to paddle, but nothing major.
I don't really have anything negative to say. Deflating is a bit more work than inflating, but the way the valves are designed makes it quite easy - you basically just open the valve and it deflates itself. I probably didn't do the best job getting 100% of the air out - maybe 95%, but I still managed to cram it into the bag (with help... imagine trying to zip up a dress for someone that might not fit them as well...

Yorkygeek: The kayak is made from thick plastic and fairly easy to inflate. It's a decent size and has two seats for two people.
Unfortunately I'd misread the spec. and thought it could be used by 1 or 2 people. There isn't a central seat position for 1 person so it's reliant on 2 people using it, so I am returning the item. It was delivered on time and was securely packaged. If you want to return it, you do so at your own cost. It's a nice two seater kayak ideal for people starting out, and is very well priced.

Gary: The media could not be loaded. What’s not to love about this Kayak. It’s cheap sure but that shouldn’t be its one defining quality. It will never be as professional looking or reach the high more stable pressures (psi) of other brands costing hundreds more but this is a capable Kayak if respected.
We have used this Kayak in Cornwall both on Sennan Cove and Hayle Gwithian and it handled brilliantly. If there is a swell then be prepared to bucket some water out once you make it out to calmer seas. We purchased a manual bilge pump that worked great for that when out on the water. Just pump and get that water overboard.
Paddles are of good length I didn’t find myself hitting the sides of the kayak and I’m by no means tall.
Seats are well.. seats, they function as intended not entirely comfortable after a while and I found myself adjusting my legs to a more A frame position. As the rear rower I had more back support.
Plenty of storage in this thing, we had a dry bag stashed under the cargo net. We kept the pump and bilge pump in the back compartment.
Very stable on the waves, bigger waves hitting you broadside with obviously test your...

Heather Forsythe: I did a lot of research and read all of the reviews for The Challenger one-man and two-man, as well as the Explorer 2-man. Watched a bunch of YouTube videos, too. My biggest concerns were weight (can I carry it myself?) and comfort (l have long legs -- my jeans are a 36" inseam).
I initially decided on the Explorer 2-man since it would :
(1) give me more legroom than the Challenger one-man
(2) it was significantly lighter than the Challenger two man. R
Reviews said the Explorer was more of a "fun boat" than a proper kayak, but I decided to give it a try.
When it arrived, I didn't even open the box. The box was quite large and heavy. The deadweight wouldn't be comfortable to carry, and I wondered if it would be a hassle to carry on my own. Plus I live in a small apartment so I planned to store the kayak in my trunk. This would have taken up a lot of my trunk space. So I returned it...and bought the Challenger 1-man instead. Great move.
The box for the Challenger 1-man was much smaller and noticeably lighter than the Explorer 2-man. It's hard to tell that when you're just looking at numbers on a web page vs. seeing and feeling it live.
I...

OVERVIEW:
We bought two Intex Challenger K1 Kayaks and took them out for a spin the very weekend we received it. It turned into a 3-hour kayaking session because we had so much fun with it! They were $49.99 each when it was on sale, and I couldn’t help but to buy it after reading the reviews, both positive and negative. What I took away from this entire purchase was how glad I am...

grupammgrupamm: ... but for 65 quid we can hardly complain (now the price's gone up to 95 GBP and for that I'd be looking at Savylor alternatives).
We bought it to complement our Savylor Tahiti plus, to use on a family (2+2) 1 week long cayaking trip (self-contained) along a relatively easy river.
On the plus side:
Extras: While some reviews complained about paddles breaking v. easily, which I was weary of, ours worked fine. True, these paddles did not feel as comfy and light as ones sold separately (20 - 25 quid for really decent ones), and out of the box a section of one paddle needed replacing (DO check the kayak and other gear, there's nothing more stupid than finding out your kayak has a hole, etc, when you're just about to float it!), but replacement was relatively easy (UK distributor) and free of charge. PLUS these paddles can be stored in 4 sections, which makes them so much easier to carry around, especially public transport, than other collapsible paddles, which only "fold" in two.
nb, the paddles are 220 cm, and one was used for a full day by a 7-year-old too!
Also the pump is useful, more compact and with more volume than the Tribord one you can get off decathlon...

Lars: Positives:
Preis Leistungs technisch unschlagbar!
